March 24, 200719 yr I'll get right to the point. We have a huge red heart to represent out health. I'm quite fine with that, but the way runescape expresses hitpoints in general could be greatly improved. This is a picture of the hitpoints icon as it is currently: Now, I propose something like the following: As you can see, the backpack icon has been ever so slightly elevated, and in place of the heart icon, there is a healthbar and an "Intelligent" hitpoints display. When you are Frozen the hitpoint display will look like this: With blue numbers. This actually lets you know in a second what you're up against. When you are poisoned the hitpoint display will look like this: With green numbers. No more guesswork. Basically, the whole way we view our health could be changed for the better with these slight changes. Keep in mind I used paint, and I really put effort into the pictures, so talk about the idea, not necessarily my visuals. ~
March 24, 200719 yr i really dontsee a need for this you have a health bar above your head if you were frozen i think you'd know, a message alsopops up in the chat box when you try to move if you were poisoned you would know because a message would pop up in the chat box also the only real use i see for this is poison in cased you missed the chat box message and havnt taken damage yet [omg] who cares if its nerfed or fixed.... you people will argue over the color of a green apple if it was a topic on this fourm god.
March 24, 200719 yr im only saying what i said in the first post you will know that you're frozen when you're character doesnt move, dont need to switch menus to see that you already have a health bar above your head, most pkers focus on their inventory or attack menus and the actual battle like i said only good for poison, and even then a smart pker would either bring an anti or drink one before going pking [omg] who cares if its nerfed or fixed.... you people will argue over the color of a green apple if it was a topic on this fourm god.
March 24, 200719 yr Author Judgeing by the number of reported deaths resulting from poison damage, I think it would make sence. Think about it. You won't be able to see the message in the chat box after it's high up there, or it's off. And in castle wars, you can tell when to heal based on that information (and trust me, the chat box does NOT work in cw either). ~
March 24, 200719 yr most people in wildy who die by poison get hit by like 30+ and take poison at the same time anyways while pking leave your chat to hide so you can screenie the kill message so it doesnt get shuffled up, same idea could apply to poison message a quick glance down at the chat box is actually safer then changing menus to see if you are poisoned and unless someone has attacked you with a dds or maybe poisoned arrows you can automatically assume you arent poisened as for cw, i know noone who wastes antipoisons there, especially with the endless bandages in your base i can understand maybe if you missed the message, but the other stuff is just superfluous perhaps instead of the health bar simply change the color of the heart to green when poisoned, health bar is bit of eyesore in pic [omg] who cares if its nerfed or fixed.... you people will argue over the color of a green apple if it was a topic on this fourm god.
March 24, 200719 yr Author You're entitled to your opinion. I just think it would be good to eliminate the text box messages and replace it with this. I mean, the only reason this is unnecessary is because the text box message exists now, right? I guarantee you, most people would rather have colored numbers then a fleeting text box message. I know that player killers have the stat menu open most of the time (this is because the health bar on the character is not expressive enough.) Therefor, if we could see: *Heath *Character's Freedom Of Movement *Poisoned Status This way, it's not like this impotent information is all spread out all over the place. If you go pking, you look at the health numbers, and the next priority is the inventory (for food). You only eat food when you have a good idea of how your health is doing. ~

March 24, 200719 yr Umm, ya this isn't needed... All they need to do is put your current hits (ie. 54/99) inside your status bar. <-- not even needed really. Quit RuneScape :)
March 24, 200719 yr the healthbar looks ugly but i like the blue and green numbers how about keep the heart, but when u r poisoned or frozen it changes the colour thanks to mitsubishi64 who made this sig

March 25, 200719 yr pretty much a useless suggestion. The only useful thing about it would be the whole telling if your poisoned or frozen thing, but there is already a warning message in the text box when these things happen. I do not support. If you choose your beliefs/lifestyle simply based on what your parents want, then you are a weak minded individual and are not even worthy of calling yourself a person.
