For the Jungle Demon you can just wait until the gnomes red-bar the demon and then go and magic shortbow spec it. I did it on my pure at around the same combat as you. Man that was a long time ago. Brings back memories For me cave was easy (energy pots ftw \ ) Only hard part was the wall of flames part, took me 3 tries. You just basically described the demon strategy except i started with a special with msb, hid on bridge, waited for redbar demon, run out, special again.
