March 27, 200719 yr hey guys, ive been thinking for a while now. google is a huge internet company (as you obviously know) owned by two rather young multi billionnaires. but how does a search engine get its profit? do the websites its linked to gve them noey for advertisement or something? i mean theres no ads on the homepage, which never changes

March 27, 200719 yr A googol is 1 followed by 100 digits: 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000if you like. They wanted to name the company googol to represent how vast the internet was, but due to a typing error when creating the buisness, google came up and the name stuck. Also, google make it's money from ads. ~ W ~
