hey guys,

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ive been thinking for a while now. google is a huge internet company (as you obviously know) owned by two rather young multi billionnaires. but how does a search engine get its profit? do the websites its linked to gve them noey for advertisement or something? i mean theres no ads on the homepage, which never changes

That's what it is named after, though.
I thought i read an interview they said they just made it up?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway, ad revenue is only one way they make money. Lots of search engine companies have corporate arms to provide enterprise solutions too.

They wanted to name the company googol to represent how vast the internet was, but due to a typing error when creating the buisness, google came up and the name stuck.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, google make it's money from ads.
