US attack on Iran, codenamed TIRANNT.

Code named by US military planners as TIRANNT, "Theater Iran Near Term" has identified several thousand targets inside Iran as part of a "Shock and Awe" Blitzkrieg, which is now in its final planning stages.

According to the Kuwait-based Arab Times, an attack on Iran under TIRANNT could occur any time between late February and the end of April.

TEHRAN -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair warned Iran yesterday of a "different phase" in the standoff over 15 detained British sailors and marines, while a former Iranian ambassador with close ties to the regime said Iran wants the release of at least seven of its officials.

Meanwhile in Iraq everything is going to plan.

The phenomenon of death squads operating in Iraq has become generally accepted over recent months. However, in its treatment of the issue, the mainstream media has zealously followed a line of attributing extrajudicial killings to unaccountable Shia militias who have risen to prominence with the electoral victory of Ibramhim Jafaari̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s Shia-led government in January. The following article examines both the way in which the information has been widely presented and whether that presentation has any actual basis in fact. Concluding that the attribution to Shia militias is unsustainable, the article considers who the intellectual authors of these crimes against humanity are and what purpose they serve in the context of the ongoing occupation of the country.

War is imminent?

Russia has reported increased US military activity in and around the strategic Gulf for the first time in four years after the March 2003 invasion of Iraq. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has declared that its territories are off limits to anyone for staging military or intelligence operations against Iran.

The US has plans like TIRANNT for every country, even our allies. You will find that all major nations around the world have contingency plans for almost every nation.

Right. The major difference being that the US is preparing to use this plan.

Does seem to me America is about to go blindly stumbling into a war against Iran, no matter how little the majority of its people want to or the tiny chances of actually getting anywhere are.

Only time will tell.

On the plus side, I visited a nuclear bomb proof bunker in York today, left over from the cold war with my history class. So if the worst happens, you know where i'll be for the 30 days it takes most ICBM's half life to get to safe background levels :D

I hope Iran fights back and murders us all! Sorry, that was a little over the top, but we'd sure deserve it. If the USA enjoys killing people so much, they should bomb thier own country.
Your an absolute tool!

Im personally still undecided on whether or not i support the Iraq war and would be much the same about Iran. However even if there was a war the American and British soldiers dont deserve to die, they have familys and people that care for them and they would be dieing for a government descision you [developmentally delayed].

They signed up to be in the Army, they knew what the job entails.

With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

I know but im just saying that they don't deserve to die. That guy was saying that he hopes all the US troops die because of a descision that the government makes which is just idiotic.

Yes, they don't deserve to die. No-one deserves to die. I'm just sick of the media holding articles such as "Young mother killed while serving in Iraq" to paint the Government in a bad light, when she made that choice and took that risk when signing up for the army.

Im not saying that though, i agree with you.

I just mean that idiot saying he wants them to die is just sick. Even though they agree to take the risk I would still want them to go home alive.

Our Uni's paper is keeping that counter. They say it's "to raise awareness of the war."

To many people no matter what ideology, it reminds us of a pinball machine scoreboard. Every death adding to the score of the uber-liberal editorial staff.

Why? You hate seeing what's really going on?

Then I guess this would really blow your mind:

A team of American and Iraqi epidemiologists estimates that 655,000 more people have died in Iraq since coalition forces arrived in March 2003 than would have died if the invasion had not occurred.

And that's the tip of the proverbial iceburg.

there is no such thing as a nuclear bomb proof bunker. you can get relatively close, but a direct hit will kill just about anything that isnt classified at this point. personally I think we should attack Iran, not to occupy them as we did in iraq, but just to show them who's boss. from the looks of it however, I would bet the people to pull the trigger on iran would be either Isreal, as they hate Iran, or the UK for taking those hostages.

I'm beginning to wonder why Pault ONLY posts when he has some new conspiracy theory to beat us all over the head with until we just want to stuff him in a locker or somethin'.

You do realize that posting conspiracy theory stuff is sometimes interesting, but when it's ALL you post, it makes you look like a tin-foil hat wearing psycho, right?

I told you before, and I'll say it again...Stop reading conspiracy theory websites. THEY ARE ALWAYS WRONG. Always.

We're not going to attack Iran. There is much more at stake doing that than just a bunch of stupid Muslims who are mad at America. Iran has friends that we really needn't get into crap with. Not that we couldn't pimp-slap them too, but really...It'd be a lot of crap to deal with. Too much.

I only post things I think are important.

MOSCOW, March 27 (RIA Novosti) - Russian military intelligence services are reporting a flurry of activity by U.S. Armed Forces near Iran's borders, a high-ranking security source said Tuesday.

"The latest military intelligence data point to heightened U.S. military preparations for both an air and ground operation against Iran," the official said, adding that the Pentagon has probably not yet made a final decision as to when an attack will be launched.

He said the Pentagon is looking for a way to deliver a strike against Iran "that would enable the Americans to bring the country to its knees at minimal cost."

He also said the U.S. Naval presence in the Persian Gulf has for the first time in the past four years reached the level that existed shortly before the invasion of Iraq in March 2003.

Col.-Gen. Leonid Ivashov, vice president of the Academy of Geopolitical Sciences, said last week that the Pentagon is planning to deliver a massive air strike on Iran's military infrastructure in the near future.

A new U.S. carrier battle group has been dispatched to the Gulf.

The USS John C. Stennis, with a crew of 3,200 and around 80 fixed-wing aircraft, including F/A-18 Hornet and Superhornet fighter-bombers, eight support ships and four nuclear submarines are heading for the Gulf, where a similar group led by the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower has been deployed since December 2006.

The U.S. is also sending Patriot anti-missile systems to the region.

Well, either way...At least we're planning on bringing it to it's knees so it can't fight back or do much of anything. I'm sure insurgents would come flowin' in eventually, though.

I really don't think many people have the energy to care anymore. I know I don't. Attack them, over-throw them...Whatever. They were being mouthy anyways.

Plus, seeing "Shock And Awe" air strikes on TV is AWESOME. I was crappin' my pants with awesomeness when they hit Iraq the first time.

So, when is North Korea goin' down?

Aye I know what you mean...if it happens it happens.

Still it was funny to follow on a parade of muslims and hippies having a protest before the iraq war.
