Why Not The Abyssal Space?

Every now and then I get an awesome task for Nechryaels, I head up there and look in the room next door to find players, mostly whom are 120+ in combat killing abyssal demons. Now I wonder, why is this?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I've never used that spot ever since the fairy abyssal space came out I've never used that spot. For those who don't know the code is ALR. After getting 119 combat the ranger abyss monster's not longer attack you. This means that only the walkers are aggressive. There is an area with two demons side by side and no walkers around RIGHT NEXT TO THE RING ENTRANCE. This means that banking takes less then one minute to do and there's no need for more then two spawns...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The day the rings came out I went there and thought "this place will be packed, banking is so fast you'll no longer have to leave any drops on the ground!" However I was astonished to find out that even now, I very rarely run into anybody down there on any world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you are 119+ combat or 85 slayer, post why you still use the tower (if you even do). Or if you're neither of those, post anyway on the topic! I'm very curious on people's reasoning for tower for abyssal demon's anymore.

I'm guessing the just like to be traditional, can't say I have 85 slayer, but if i did I think i'd always be up in the tower, possibly because of more company to keep you talking too? I know when i'm training if there's noone to talk to in the surrounding area i get bored...fast

the 2 abby demon tasks i had i went to the tower simply bc i didn't want to start that quest to use the rings

The only reasons i can see that are legitimate or partially legitimate are

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

1) not having started fairy tale part 2

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

2) Some people not liking being auto-attacked by the bigger abyssal monsters (yes, i am aware there are spots with demons that are free of aggressive abyssal monsters)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3) The company of other abby slayers i suppose?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4) Tradition/being used to going to the slayer tower

There are 6 to 8 abyssal demons at the slayer tower at 1 time that respawn very quickly. AND there are no abyssal walkers there either.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With the use of full guthans, there really isnt a need to bank either.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

That's why I dont go to the alternate abyss.

There is the other conclusion though that those hardcore slayers don't want to take their time to to quests or lack the rather high 57 herblore requirement(well I think it's pretty high!). There are also many other quests before this, like how to do Mornings End part 2 you must complete about 7 :uhh: quests before it.

cuz u get a a fourth of the experience there... instead of 4 xp for every 1 damage u do.. u get 1xp per 1 damage u do

You don't need the farming or herblore requirements to get the rings.

I'm assuming you've never used it, or you use the wrong location. I've never been attacked by a walker accept for entering the dungeon. Once I'm at them they do not wonder into my area.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Other then for conversations or having not done the quest, it's almost stupid to use the tower past 116 combat. Plus I hate dropping all of those herbs and stuff, I like to bank them.

O I did quest and was pretty sure they gave 1/4th.... Im gonna go see if ur correct right now and if they do give normal ill start training there lol..

I've been to the alternate abyss numerous times and I hate killing abyssal demons there. I only went there when a friend or 2 asked me to accompany them since they prefer it than the slayer tower. I said that the abyssal demons like to wander around and occasionally wander to where the walkers are.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have the quest cape and high enough herblore as someone on page one said that ppl with high slayer levels dont like doing quests or herblore.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you think that ppl over cbt lvl 116 are stupid to use the tower, that's your opinion, a rather closed minded and insulting opinion though, but you are entitled to your opinion. I only keep certain herbs so I can stay at the tower for about 2 to 3 hours without banking.

 

 

 

I don't like killing the same 2 demons all the time and like to go from the entrance to where the agility chain is. It breaks the monotony of being there for so many hours.

It's just illogical thats all. When the only difference between the two is one has a closer bank and the other doesn't. Anybody could see that. However we are all entitled to opinions so you can do as you want, I'm just getting opinions on the matter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Also, I'm not sure where you were killing them but I've never had any trouble with the walkers, ever.

Call me crazy but I have terrible luck there with whip drops.

 

 

 

I know, I know, it is all random but I get more whips in the

 

 

 

tower. :-k I prefer the tower guess I don't like change much. :-s

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

By the time I have a full load of herbs and other goodie drops

 

 

 

I had enough of killing them anyhow, unless I am on a task

 

 

 

then of course it becomes a pain to bank when your at the tower.

do you get skulled and a prayer drain if you go there? if so, then theirs your awnser. the xp thing is the other possibility.

no, its just like any other area of rs, no different, no xp depletion, no prayer removal, no nothing.

I don't have 85 slayer, but if I did, I'd go to the tower I think.. It just feels more ... slayerish i guess.. Also there are people to talk to, which I prioritize highly when doing something.
