March 31, 200719 yr My mum bought me casino royale, but I can't open the dvd. I took off the plastic, but there is this red thing in the middle of the part when you open it. Has anyone else got this? How do you open it? I need to open it for my party later!

March 31, 200719 yr It may be one of those security bar code thingies, stuck down hard in the little gap in the middle of the edge of the case? In that case, I would get hold of a knife (I use a sharp one, any sharp object will do) and simply prise the security bar off.

Yeah, it is for the secutiry stuff, usually works with a screwdriver. it may hurt the case a bit. But as long as you get to watch the movie? :

April 1, 200719 yr They left one of those on a DVD I bought once. I ripped it in half out of anger. I hate it when a couple shop lifters have to ruin it for us all and we have to have 100 different protection devices on one item. I timed myself once...Getting through all of them without damaging the case took several minutes. It sucks.
