spikerkid
Introduction Why is there only capes to show a level 99 stat (don't mention quest cape). Why don't they make capes to show ones total level? Total level cape shows more than you only working on one stat and leaving the rest of the skills low. Mostly everyone has a cape/aiming for a cape, usually being cooking, fletching, firemaking, and combat capes. But some people train all skills and don't like focusing on just one skill. Which leaves me to the idea of TOTAL LEVEL CAPES!!!. The Idea Well my idea are the Total Level Capes for you who didn't read the title or that paragraph^. Well I think that they should have these because not everyone has a skill cape and has a high total. Or they have a high total and have 99 in an easy skill and don't want to be judged as someone who wanted a skill cape so they just got that to 99. So imo [in my opinion] they should have something to show your total level also. Just because having a high total and not showing it off is just cruel. The Capes There should be capes for: ~1900 cape - Pink/Light red ~2000 cape - Silver ~2100 cape - Gold ~2200 cape - Rainbow The guy who sells these capes will be somewhere for the price of 99k. If you buy the 1900 cape and reach 2000 it will change into it. So you can only have 1 total level cape at one time. Then cape colour would change when you reach a new mark. *These capes can't be trimmed The emote would be... So far: Abbysalwhip- For the emote maybe a small 3D blue bar appears to the left of you, a medium sized green 3d bar to the right and a tall red 3D one under you pushes you up into the air. Sir_Erderik- For the Emote, the blue bar should come up below your character. Your character becomes surprised and jumps to the left, lands on the red bar(red bar is still rising). After landing on the red bar you start to stumble backwards onto the green bar, then you stand up on the green pillar, and hold (1900,2000, etc. ect.) in big gold letters above his/her head, like a trophy. The Symbol Probably something like that that tab they have where you click and it shows your skills. If someone makes me a picture i'll be happy because I have zero photoshopping skills. Thank you for posting an example Sir_Erderik The higher the bars for the higher the cape. So at first the red, green, blue will be small and will get bigger along the way. Also it would say either 1900,2000,2100,2200 at the bottom. Closing Point So ya they should make total level capes so you have more skillers instead of people who just go for one skill. But if your going for one of these capes you have to train all skills so farming/hunter/construction/ the other ones people hate! Question and Answers Q-Why not 1600,1700,1800 capes? A- that would make it as easy and everyone would have this cape already without training. I'd want to see people train all skills to reach it. Will add more to this as more people post. Thanks for reading Quit RuneScape :)

spikerkid
Supported... but maybe with a few more capes (higher than what you have listed). Nice idea! Those are the highest capes possible. But if they were to release another skill the 1900 one would be deleted and they could add a 2300. Quit RuneScape :)

Huta
I don't support. It's just like the people that complain about combat levels showing; if you want to look powerful in a game centered around combat, train combat, if you want a skillcape, don't try to raise all your stats and specialize in a single for a while. Whatever happened to the simple fact that if you want something, train for it, instead of changing the surroundings so you have to do nothing? If you don't hit high enough, don't ask for a super super str pot, train your str. If you can't mine addy, don't ask for a pickaxe that raises your mining level temporarily. If you can't wear a skillcape, don't ask for a "total level" cape, earn a 99. If you want a skillcape, then get one. It's a simple reality. But with all these skills people hate like hunter, construction, farming, etc leave them low because they don't like them. The point to the cape is to force people to train every skill. A 99 cape proves you got a 99 in that skill but a total level cape would show that you like to train all skills. If I wanted any cape i'd train for it. But i'd rather have a cape that shows that I train every skill, not just focusing on one. If I want to train all skills I will train for it but what do I get from it?..If they accutally did this idea i'd be after a 2000 cape so fast. So would other because humans love to show off. This is just something to shoot for, a different way of training, a different way of playing the game. Quit RuneScape :)
Zaaps1
Good idea, but two suggestions and one question. First, there should be an NPC that gives out the cape, seems obvious, but I don't think you listed one. Another would be to give it a stat boost, but for which levels? Maybe +1 to each? A question would be how to distinguish between the lvl 1900, 2000, 2100 capes but just looking at it. ~It's Super Effective! This is just something to shoot for, a different way of training, a different way of playing the game. Ever hear of Jack of all trades, master of none? You don't get ahead in life doing a whole bunch of things, you get a degree and specialize in something. Same thing in RS. If you want a cape, specialize for a while. I don't get all these suggestions with people trying to change the various, temporary things that irk them such as having a low combat and having no 99 skills. If people point out your combat level, perhaps the most crucial factor of a character, is low, raise it more or ignore the people complaining. This is like telling the government "I have a $100,000 loan. I want to start my own business. I can go into either marketing processed foods or computers. I want to do processed foods, even though the profits made from that type of business are marginal, and since I won't make as much and get as much benefit, I want you, Uncle Sam, to tax all the big food corperations so they have to raise prices so as a small company I can make more profit." In the above example you'd simply tell the person "Go into another business". That applies here. Like I said earlier, if you want something, work for it, don't ask for something new so you don't have to go out of your comfort zone and change your habits. IF YOU WANT A CAPE, EARN ONE. Nabbagad
I dont think it would be worth it, most of those people would have a 99 skill anyway and wear that cape. But maybe a cape with the skill picture on it for someone with a maxed out level (2277).
