sheepdean
I've been thinking, the methods that JaGEx use to stop and hinder macroers (i.e. randoms) all have the same flaw - they only present a small amount of annoyance for the programs, and can easily be evaded. While I don't think we shouyld get rid of these, as they do work to some extent, I think the perfect randm would simply be - Spin the camera. All macroers work on the knowledge that the RS screen always points in the same direction when you log on, so they always know where every item is, every bank and every escape route. If JaGEx made the camera occasianlly point in a random direction, not only as a random but also perhaps at log on, the majority of macroers would be stupmed, unable to click anywhere and be running around like headless chickens trying to find their precious trees or ores. Incidentally, I have zero knowledge of Java, so i this is impossible due to some strange coding written in the essence of the script, didn't realise Comments? tomdavies90
lol this could actually work, and it wouldn't be hard to implement, but i guess they would eventually find a way around it, for a few months though yes it could work, good idea Sig by me.... Boris5000
Yeah, u could have it that if you don't speak for 5 minutes it moves it around... Luck be a Lady
SirHartlar
Yeah, u could have it that if you don't speak for 5 minutes it moves it around... Then they would just be programmed to speak. I think this is an excellent idea, just needs a bit of fine tuning. :)
Uula
I would hate this while runecrafting, I constantly keep changing my camera for perfection, and this would just mess it up.
AceScope
This actually sounds like a great idea. I hate macoers, and sometimes see 20 at once in draynor.
None2None
Actually, sorry to say, this won't work. The cameras, in RuneScape right now, as we speak, actually do spin, just very slowly. And most macroers have found their ways around this by either clicking colors (which the camera won't affect) or they click UIDs (The ID # that Jagex assigned the item or object) ... The simple pattern clickers have already been stopped due to something like what you're suggesting, not all the bots are Java-bots or color-clicking bots, which, well to tell the truth...Java bots are unstoppable until Jagex finds a way to disable plugins...Color-clicking bots are really impossible to stop unless Jagex makes sure that EVERY color on (persay a tree) is in the visible area around it so a bot won't work. Sorry, I don't believe this will work. ~ Clicky for the blog of No Cb Skils ~
aquariusman
Colour-bots: random colour inversion? But only if you dont talk, which is not announced, but atound 5-10 minutes. There's no such thing as regret. A regret means you are unhappy with the person you are now,and if you're unhappy with the person you are, you change yourself. Thatregret will no longer be a regret, because it will help to form the new, better you. So really, a regret isn't a regret. It's experience. chams10
Rotating cameras will not effect autoers--most of them pick up things by color. Color inversion will also not work due to the fact that many autoers detect the colors at startup--they aren't always hard coded in. There really is no way to stop autoers. They will be around as long as runescape is. We can only deture them or slow them down. You would be surprised how advanced they are.
tomdavies90
urrrm i don't think you fully read what he was saying, he said it spins when you log on, as in instead of always pointing north when you log in it points in different random directions. Tbfgraphx14
Also, you could make it so the trees respawn in random points in a little area. Tbfgraphx14Happy to find I'm not the only one who eats glass.
NJE03
I don't like this idea simply because I would find it annoying to always have to adjust my camera back to the way I like it. Don't get me wrong, I hate autos just as much as the next guy, but I prefer a solution that doesn't disrupt my game play. Abyssalwhip
I almost pissed myself laughing at how stupid this is, yay I almost killed the chaos elemental, What the hell the camera's spinning Oh dead you are dead. Residua
meh, I don't think highly of this - it would screw me over. It could stop macros for a while, but i wouldn't be able to handle it.
ianer101
Lol, this could be the best yet simplest way to stop macroers, a disorientation effect every now and then would confuse bots. CentriX_2
Hmm... Best idea i've heard in a while. A few comments: It has to be random. VERY. Or there will be programs that detect where the place is, which type of camera view is etc. Make it VERY random. Also, only in the most popular macroing places. Not in wildy, dungeons, towns etc... For example, the yew spawn near Falador, and in Varrock too. Other idea: While i quited RS for a few months i played a game that i shall not say the name, that we had to download and install. It had GameGuard, an anti-hacking program. The program was so useful that it blocked some users to play because their OS had a file of the most popular hacking game. What i want to say with that is, why not some kind of protection like that? PS: GameGuard=problems just so you know. Good idea anyways Dragon Drops : Axe, Shield Left HalfDk drops : Axe, Zerker (X3)Barrow drops : Torag Plate (X3), Ahrim Robeskirt, Dharok LegsGWD drops : Sara Sword, Bandos Tassets, Zammy Spear
chams10
Also, you could make it so the trees respawn in random points in a little area. That wouldent work either--again most macro programs do it by color, not position. Really, none of these ideas will work, ever. Even if you came up with something that would stop them, they would find a way around it in a very hort amount of time. P.S. I'm a programmer, not a cheater--so stop it with the pm's.
