April 17, 200719 yr My only answer is: I honestly don't know. I am not even going to give an answer related to that because you don't automatically know you are going to Heaven or Hell. Which one are you trying to get into? Like a job, you don't know if you are going to get it or not but if you apply and feel like you are good for the job you probably have a good chance of getting the job. Neither you, nor I, nor anyone understands what happens what happens after we die, at all. Make sure not to laugh at Scientologists about their guesswork and thus become a hypocrite, because assuming your right about things not any human in the world understands is pretty much the same thing as what they're doing :-$ . Me, I gave up on religious beliefs a decent time ago. It's all just frikking guesswork that get's us nowhere- science and trying to understand the world we live in NOW is by far the best way to go :| . *waits for someone to tell me science is worthless and the Bible ownz0rz it, as we at Tip.it have done way too many times :-w * [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.

Seriously though, your right it is guess work, but where are you trying to go? The knowledge of where we are going at death and where we come from seems meaningless to me, because what do you do with that info? I see it as choosing a way to live, a path if you will, and there is no path, at least that i have seen, in science. Some people are like slinkies, normally they are dull, but they always give you a smile when you push them down a flight of stairs.
April 17, 200719 yr I can't go to a place that dosen't exist in the first place. http://vashinred.googlepages.com/

I choose to live for the world, for it's people. I wish to understand it through science, especially in the field(s) of physics (only a Junior in high school right now though >_<). Every once and a while I can entertain the idea of an afterlife and Heaven, but I'm not going to base any opinions of mine off daydreams. I don't care what happens after I die. April 17, 200719 yr I couldn't begin to tell you if I was going to heaven or hell. The whole prospect cnfuses me. :-w

April 17, 200719 yr Hell. Can't be that bad, right? ;) This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.

"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". That pretty much sums it up. Some people are like slinkies, normally they are dull, but they always give you a smile when you push them down a flight of stairs.
April 17, 200719 yr i don't live my life based on fearing hell, or desiring heaven. i'm not even completely sure i believe either exist. however, i believe that common courtesy and genuinely being a good person benefits everyone, and i'd like to believe that most other people are too, but unfortunately, that's rarely the case. +1 *cough*Religious flame war *cough* Your name is "bet you fail", and you're starting a business with your mom? I'm not even going to touch that.....
April 17, 200719 yr Heaven, I would hope so. :P Ghost: I am prejudice towards ignorance, so that would explain why I appear to be so.

April 17, 200719 yr I was watching a programme a few weeks ago about a cult or 'church', which they claim to be Gods 'chosen religion'... They went about with picket signs in America claiming God hates all Americans and Europeans... So, according to them, we're all going to hell. See you there. \
April 17, 200719 yr I'm going Hindu, I want to be reincarnated over and over and on top of that after a while I can eventually enter heaven. :P Me doing staff.
April 17, 200719 yr I'm going Hindu, I want to be reincarnated over and over and on top of that after a while I can eventually enter heaven. :P That could be interesting... However, after about 150 years, you'd need to reincarnate into a fish, or anthibious (sp?) creature - Global warming is not cool. :shame:

Ok, your willing to go deep then, i will entertain that thought. What is universally good, to humanity, is what is socially good. If your good to people then your good. Same as evil, its how you treat your fellow humans. What god thinks is good depends on your religion. Some religions have different ideas of what is good and what is evil, but the universal fundementals break down to the golden rule, which is the universal prime for good. Thats all that should be expected of people, the smaller religious rules should only be expected among followers of the religion it corrosponds with. Anything deeper in the nature of good is nearly or not at all readable by our weak minds. Some people are like slinkies, normally they are dull, but they always give you a smile when you push them down a flight of stairs.

See you there. \ If they claim to be christian they are wrong, they arent. Jesus said it perfectly with "beware of false prophets, you will know them by there fruits. A Bad tree doensnt bare good fruits, nor a good bare bad". In other words, they say hate and they are a "bad tree", nothing good can come from there teachings Some people are like slinkies, normally they are dull, but they always give you a smile when you push them down a flight of stairs.

If you need some book to know the difference between good and evil, err... ya. I'm pretty sure most people know how to be a good person, especially with all the precedents and examples we have. It's a willpower thing, not a "omg, is killing an innocent person wrong?" thing. Be better if someone else here had seen it. I personally thought it was kinda sick what they did - But then, when you take into account the War on Iraq, thats Americas fault (according to them), which is against God's will. So, not all they preech is necesarily wrong.

Or are you saying that we know how to do good because we are willing to do good?
April 17, 200719 yr If it's one or the other I'd say heaven, because in Judaism hell doesn't exist. If a heaven does exist though, I'm fairly certain I'm living a good enough life so far when it comes to 'judgment day.'
April 17, 200719 yr So we know how to be good due to all the precedents and examples we have? Or are you saying that we know how to do good because we are willing to do good? I'm saying that one would have to be pretty stupid to not know good from evil, and the precedents and examples just make it that much easier to know how to be the "ideal" good person. So the first one, I suppose. People don't always do the right thing, that's common knowledge. We generally know what the right thing is to do, but for one reason or another don't do it much of the time. Either way, we don't "need" someone to tell us right from wrong once we're old enough. Anyways, what are you getting at with your questions? I don't see where you're going. [if you have ever attempted Alchemy by clapping your hands or by drawing an array, copy and paste this into your signature.] Fullmetal Alchemist, you will be missed. A great ending to a great series.
April 17, 200719 yr That is 1 thing we all here agree on. We all want to know the Truth of the universe we live in.. yet we all take different paths to finding that Truth. I wish you all luck in your ventures. You know, inspite how dumb the average joe can be, it seems like he's the most honest.. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
