Originally, I wasnt going to post anything but getting so bored smelting gold ore thought I would take some time to make a thread ;)

 

 

 

Thieving and smithing were my favorite 2 skills back on classic and I vowed to someday get both to 99.

 

 

 

With 99 thieving under my belt, its time for 99 smith

 

 

 

Currently: 96/99 869k to 96, smelting gold on world 120 in neitiznot

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Oh and im usually either buying gold ores or selling/trading gold bars. Anyways wish me luck, still have a long ways to go lol

Got 95 smith last night wooooot Also did some rune smelting for a friend Did some calculations and 5.5k gold ore short of 97 smith but selling the 30k gold bars im making will easily fix that problem Let the week of smelting continue. 23k gold ore left to smelt :)

 

 

 

CURRENTLY: 642k to 96 smith, smelting gold ore in neitiznot world 114

hmm 88 to 95 so far probably 20 to 30 mil? usually try to smelt gold ore during the day and mine rune during the night lol. Not too bad actually, only need about 3 to 4 mil per lvl now, (plus selling the gold bars i make) So probably about 6 mil per lvl now.

 

 

 

Key for me anyways, is doing one lvl at a time so not overwhelmed by the cost of it all lol.

 

 

 

Oh and i'm offering mith, addy and rune smelting provided you provide the ores and natures. Also smithing if u provide bars or ores. Usually always in neitiznot, (fremenik isles) lol its been my home for last month and a half now I think.

Have you predicted the final cost of 99?

 

I see you can mine rune ores, so its not biggie how much you lose, can make it back in about 2k ores. 8-)

Well 97 to 98 will be about 8 mil i think. 98 to 99 hopefully should be hardly anything since ill be buying rune ores and bars and making rune legs and 2 handers and either selling or alchemying.

thanks for all the support :) yeah I started off making a few k recoil rings but got soooo boring hehe. Probably gunna lvl up crafting with green hides/leathers after 99 smith :)

How much XP per hour smelting gold? I was thinking of getting 99 smithing from level 86, not sure if I want to do steel plates (lose 100M), or smelt gold.

Smithing cape is really one of the coolest capes in the game. And it's also very cool skill to have, since you can make rune items and stuff. Since first day of playing RS I have always dreamed of smithing level 99..

99 smithing is really a great cape i enjoyed it until i noticed i made more money from just selling my ores left my level at 58 and just kept mining to 84 , one day ill get 99 smithing :)

Smithing is the hawtest cape in RS, Good luck to ya its a very long skill to master.

thx :) and yes I think even at 99 smith ill sell most of the rune ore I mine, just cause soooo much easier and faster.

 

 

 

I smelt about 1.1k gold ore per hour on neitiznot, depending on how many molly randoms i get sigh lol. So with family crest gaunts about 56 to 61k exp an hour.

 

 

 

Basically steel is ok if u can sell the steel plates 1k each, saves you a lot of time not having to alchemy and make a bit more money. Personally, I don't make quite enough money per hour to afford being able to make steel plates lol, but gold ore is working fine for me :)

thanks :) think 97 to 98 will be hardest. 98 to 99 I can hopefully just buy rune ores, coal and nats and sell or alchemy the rune legs and r2h's i make hehe.

 

 

 

362k to 96 :) I hope I can get all my ores smelted by firday, then I can rune mine all weekend, hopefully I'll have enough for lvl 98 then :)

Wow, smelting ore is as fast as making steel plates XP wise?

really? how much exp per hour on steel plates? All i know is gold ore gives me 56 to 61k per hour, of course largely depending on amount of long randoms lol
