cyco
WAY too soon in my opinion. Guild Wars, does not have a large enough community to already make a second one. The graphics for Guild Wars were already pretty good, not really seeing the point of going for 2 so soon.
arizark
but the fact they are raising the level 20 limit will draw in a lot more players
Korla
but the fact they are raising the level 20 limit will draw in a lot more players Why? If that's gonna pull alot of players there'll be a whole lot of people playing the game for the completely wrong reasons IMO. I.E. not a game I'd like to play. RebelAssassin
its not even a proper MMO game is it? dosent it use a lobby system? www.PETAkillsanimals.com
Nadril
I posted this about a month ago, not sure if I can find the link. I'm hoping it expands more on the actual war part not "guild friendly-capture-the-flag-matches".
Continuum
No, there's no lobby system. At least, not in the current Guild Wars. My understanding from the articles was that it won't be placing you in the campaign or a lvl 20 PvP character, but it'll be closer to the regular MMORPG...like WoW... Harrington
Will you be able to migrate a current account from Guild Wars (like what we did with Classic to RS2)?
Sk4terpunk90
Wow Guild Wars will barely exist in a year if they keep up this pace. I feel I wasted 100 bucks on this. My friend told me he was going to start playing (factions) so I got factions along with him..Within 5 days I was already 20 and he was 18. I got so bored I bought prophecies which bored the hell outta me cause I couldn't fina a soul. I qut soon after the announce of Nightfall cause I thought "Damn, I, another 50 bucks? Yeesh". I don't know about any other 13 year olds out there, but making and paying 50 bucks for a game thats unsatisfying after the first week, totally not worth it. Continuum
Um, did you forget to read the article? I'm sure you didn't post without reading the articles. That would be stupid. Will you be able to migrate a current account from Guild Wars (like what we did with Classic to RS2)? Nope, but achievements in the first Guild Wars will be displayed in the second Guild Wars. Azvareth
I'm quite looking forward to see how it develops. The original Guild Wars was a major disappointment so hopefully they've learned from their mistakes.
Defender2516
I enjoyed Phophecies very very much, didn't really care for factions though. I am disappointed though.. with all the campaigns comming out, it sorta split the community 3 ways. We are not all trying to achieve the same goal now as when there was only 1 campaign. Some areas are literaly DEAD at night. Now with Guild wars 2 on the way, people are going to chunk and throw away guild wars 1. When they can't find anymore poeple to play, it will die. Sad really.. I never even won the hall of hero's before, I been there, but never won it. Guess I better go do all that stuff now before GW2 hits and no one plays gw1 again. :( ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me

Nadril
meh. nothing will overtake the almighty juggernaut that is wow in numbers? Probaly not for a few years. in quality? hell yeah. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy WoW. However saying that nothing is going to 'overtake it' is just foolish. This year and the start of 2008 are going to be huge for MMORPGs with large releases such as Warhammer online and Age of Conan coming out. At any rate I do admire the devs behind Guild Wars. The PvP system was very ballanced for the most part (power teams got anoying but nothing you can do to really stop that) and I gotta say I am somewhat looking foward to how this plays out. I played Guild Wars for a while but quit because of the lack of content. We'll see how it plays out.

It appears that Anet gives the most powerful builds to those who purchase the latest campaign. Yeah I'm talking about Nightfall. I have Prohecies and Factions, but the only monks that I find "hard" to kill are nightfall ones. Zealous Benidiction is a very powerful skill for monks to have, even though they nerfed the energy gain by 3 points, its almost still considered a "free" spell. There's a few other spells, such as the one that lets you cast 50% faster and heal 50% more. Thats a very powerful skill as well. It just completely over took Aura of Faith, which lets you heal someone for 50% for 60 seconds. Like wtf.. Seriously, they need to buff some old school skills. Faction skills are COMPLETELY useless, I only got it for rit and assasin class because the monk spells but 1, Blessed Light, are pretty worthless. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
Nadril
If you didn't catch it they are trying to get you to buy all the parts of the game. Thats what they do instead of monthley fees.

Faction skills are COMPLETELY useless, I only got it for rit and assasin class because the monk spells but 1, Blessed Light, are pretty worthless. Air of Enchantment is still pretty damn useful. Also, Spirit Bond is great for catching [bleep]es in and out of GVG. Dwayna's Sorrow is indispensable for minion bombers. Gift of Health is still useful on prot monks, Healing Light and Healing Whisper are great for PVE work, Resurrection Chant sees a lot of use in GVG, and Extinguish is still useful even after the nerfs it suffered. Kirin's Wrath is great to double up with Symbol of Wrath on a smiting monk, especially in AB and other undead-heavy areas, and Life Sheath remains useful in PVE. And Zealous Benediction is pretty easy to interrupt with a decent ranger or mesmer. biox
That seems incredibly soon.. it feels like only a few months ago, people were going mad trying to get into the beta test of GW.
