Joes_So_Cool
This may be kind of confusing but since all of us here have about 70+ iq points then many runescape players you should be able to handle it :) Fire strike is the way to go. This is not by making them but rather buying them. The max hit with fire strike is a 8. The max hit with a wind bolt is a 9. Chaos runes cost 110-150gp and are quite hard to find. Mind runes are 10-20 gp and are quite easy to find. If you buy chaos and mind runes for the lowest price (100ea for chaos, 10ea for minds+fires.) and that would equal 7 mind runes and 3 fire runes, or 1 chaos rune. Now the number part. 1x fire strike = 32 magic exp. 1x wind bolt = 36 magic exp. Don't forget to add the other 7 you can buy! 1x fire strike = 32 exp x 7 casts = 224 exp. So I guess it comes down to this, would you rather spend 100gp + and get 36 exp or 100 gp and get 224 exp? I suppose it's up to you. I just typed this in about two-minutes, and I am positive there is at least one spelling/number error. If you can find this and point it out that'd be greatly appreated. Off to fire strike! ~Joe. FastForce
Most people prefer speed over money, especially when you only lose a couple of thousand gp for some magic xp. If you are low on budget then cheaper spells are better, but take way too long to deal damage and give serious xp. alias1991
^^^ agreed, and chaos runes are easy to find lol :P imo, speed is everything, money isnt a huge object, but to those it is, that is a good method for them
Vulxai
I'm using only fire strike for my pure mage, it's cheap because I'm on a budget because I don't drop trade money from my main because he has his things to worry about and pure mage can make money :). But to me, I don't mind how long it takes, I'm fine with just relaxing and casting spells. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

snake6man
Using curse is cheaper... if you have -65 mage atk then you can caste it over and over on one monster. if you have a mud staff, then you can buy bodys for 3-4gp ea, and curse gives you 29 exp. thats almost 10 exp per gp. cheaper than your method :P Whats your average lv? viewtopic.php?t=615571&start=0&pos
JoeDaStudd
its even cheaper if you've got a decent rc'ing lvl. I still prefer using ice spell in cwars or slayer dart in barrows. But on a budget is a great option. At least with his method you have to click and then wait and even get drops. ~ Proud Father ~ Proud (Currently Deployed) Army National Guardsmen ~ Proud Lakota ~ Retired Tip.It Crew ~

Roberthree
Ok, if you have 82 magic you should not be using these spells. This is more for low levels, or pures on a budget.
Cryptogram
To hell with that. I like casting burst and barrage spells at pc. Often I come away with 2.5k - 5k xp from about 1 minute's casting. That's what I call value for runes. Don't follow me. You might not make it.All your accounts are belong to us now.If this were a dictatorship, it'd be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator
leebrave
I didn't mention I do a swap for chaos :). Alot of of low level mages will happily do a 3-1 etc swap. Gorak Chronicles Ended, thinking of something new for next week
Goobore
Gl finding a decent place in f2p to curse There are plenty of great places to Curse in F2P. The trick is to always fail so you can keep on using the same monster over and over and over again. The Varrock sewers is nice because it's multi-combat so you can always find a target to hit. Casting from the key room across the water into the 4 zombie ladder room works very well. Other places include the caged lesser at the top of the wizzy tower, the red monk under the Varrock palace stairs, the Port Sarim jail, and the screen room in the Fally White Knight castle. ...and have fun getting hand cramps... (Mostly) true. Curse can't be auto-cast. But for those players on a budget, Curse gives a great return for the money spent. Hope this helps
