August 21, 200817 yr Is this game worth buying? Reading the posts here it looks ike it has more depth than I thought. Basically it's a game for the lazy people who can't bother to learn to play a real instrument. Of course it is. Just so you are aware I play electric and acoustic guitar. I also play Guitar Hero where I play on expert. Guitar Hero is a game for people to play when they just wanna have fun regardless of whether or not they play a real instrument. You can't ever find a place that's nice and peaceful, because there isn't any. You may think there is, but once you get there, when you're not looking, somebody'll sneak up and write "(bleep) you" right under your nose. Try it sometime. I think, even, if I ever die, and they stick me in a cemetery, and I have a tombstone and all, it'll say "Holden Caulfield" on it, and then what year I was born and what year I died, and then right under that it'll say "(bleep) you."
August 21, 200817 yr Anyone mentioned the story about that kid who dropped out of school to play GH3?I dont know about you but the few proffesional players have only earned about a $1000 in prize money over the past couple of years,it seem spretty stupid. He's getting home tutored and is doing it for more reasons than just to play GH.

I'm sure you're all just desperate to hear more :D First: I got all the DLC (except the two single songs besides EWWS, which I may or may not get in a while) including Virtuoso and Dragonforce packs! Virtuoso was a 5* sightread pack, while Dragonforce was 4* sightreads with 5*s following within a few runs... In order to hammer-on, you must be holding a higher note when you hit the lower, and to pull-off, you must be holding the note that you're going to pull-off to before you take your fingers off the previous note. On top of all of that, the timing window is so small that attempting to use HOPOs is pretty worthless (until you get used to them... Cowboys From Hell has been FCed up to the Solo using all the HOPOs before, and that song is made of them... I personally am semi-consistent on them), and most deem it better to simply strum every single note in the game. Strumming and fretting at the same time can get pretty complex... I wont be playing for a while, I lent my GH3 to a friend so he can get a full set of scores up on scorehero, and thats the only one in the series I actually own.

It appears sightreading the DF pack has killed my ability to play, haven't passed a single one of those songs since beating them on sightread :x I can't play Mauvis Garcon at all like this, can barely get into 4x multiplier. I'll be back with a vengeance for the next song however :twisted: As long as it's not something stupid anyway.

HALP!? :lol: I hold firmly that I can FC it as well with a really good day and some more practice on transitioning to tapping. That is what you mean by solo B right, the intro part? If not, I apologize, but that part is really easy to tap. Left hand fingers on the first four buttons, right hand tapping the orange. Hit the others like the orange isn't there. The whole song is a freakin' choke-fest, though.
