If anyone can remember way back when the main page graphics were updated, there was a certain picture at the top of the high score table. There was a gold rock, and sitting beside it, a dragon pickaxe. A week or so later, the pick was removed and now only the rock remains.

 

 

 

I'm thinking that Jagex is using hunter to add the dragon pickaxe to the game, since we already know they have a graphic concept for it, which usually means they plan on adding it.

I highly doubt you will get a dragon pickaxe through hunter. Even if it is amazingly rare for it to give the dragon pick, I still can't see it coming from hunter.

Drop an arrow next to an imp. The arrow is bigger then the imp. If they can hold arrows, they can hold a pickaxe. Its basically an arrow but a little more wood on the shaft.. and a little more metal on the tip :-k And no feathers.. :XD:

 

 

 

EDIT:Good point below me, it does say impling, implying (no pun intended :wink: ) (sorry that was such a cheesy joke) that it will be smaller than an imp, but it may be large. Heck, it could be the size of the KBD.

hmm idk.its hard to speculate about new updates,but of course like you've noticed,tis easy to see SOME things coming.

 

 

 

For one,IMO,i dont think a dragon pickaxe should be dropped by hunter,but then again I do.It doesnt make sense as hunter is a skill,like slayer is the only skill that has the oppurtunity for good drops.So maybe it would make sense if it dropped a dragon pickaxe at a high level to balance it out and make a second skill to get good drops as an alternative to slayer.

 

 

 

THEN again,in the other side of the arguement,it seems like it shouldnt,why should people that have trained slayer to 90 for dark bow etc,then have to go to a high hunter level just for a dragon pick?It seems more suitable youd get it through some mining quest doesn't it?It also doesnt make sense that a IMP,of ALL MONSTERS IN RUNESCAPE,will lead to a dragon pick.But maybe theyr're smart enough to make em/gather em? :P

I don't think Dragon Pickaxes will be released anytime soon. My guess is they were bugged out of their minds with people sending in queries about that pickaxe picture, so they took it out.

Altought it would be great to have a dragon pickaxe finally introdoced after it was hinted to, and even if it would perfectly fit the bit and pieces theme, I doubt they will change the hunter system in order to allow rare drops..

WOW THIS IS RUNESCAPE. An imp can certainly hold a dragon pick if im allowed to hold 28 sharks which when dropped are as tall as my character. Not to mention i can eat these within a second or two.

Just no. :roll: If you actually go and think about it, 83 hunter is not high and it is not hard to even train to that lvl. Exp/hr for that skill is also fairy high compared to other skills.

 

 

 

Based on the way mining works as a skill, the d pick would be a much more desired equipment for skilling than the d axe. Now, rune pick is able to "half hit" iron and the population generally assumes d pick can "half hit" coal. Also, rune miners will also want d picks to fasten the long time they take to mine rune. You have to kill boss monsters to acquire a d axe, yet a more desired d pick only requires skilling? Sorry to dash your hopes, implings WILL NOT drop d picks
