assassin_696
Sinn Fein assembly member Alex Maskey wondered if perhaps "the 20 unopened bottles of milk" on the doorstep had tipped off the robbers. Satenza
police are humans too, but seriously unlikely place to get robbed.. But i'm curious, when did police stations like close down? Isn't someone always there? ~Defender~ Loads of police stations are closing down (Go Labour!), the one near me closed down and it now been made into penthouse apartments :o With so many trees in the city you could see the spring coming each day until a night of warm wind would bring it suddenly in one morning. Sometimes the heavy cold rains would beat it back so that it would seem that it would never come and that you were losing a season out of your life. But you knew that there would always be the spring as you knew the river would flow again after it was frozen. When the cold rains kept on and killed the spring, it was as though a young person had died for no reason. In those days though the spring always came finally but it was frightening that it had nearly failed.

Somnambulism
But i'm curious, when did police stations like close down? Isn't someone always there? It depends entirely on the size of the station. The one in my small town closes at 4:30PM on weekdays, after which point the police from the large town ~8 miles away take over. Tigra00
Here in America, it's pretty much common sense that cops don't know their head from their [wagon]. They very very often sink to the level of deceit and straight-up lying to get you to admit to crimes you may or may not have even committed. I wish people knew the laws more, because a lot of people who are in prison right now don't deserve to be. If they just knew their rights, they'd still be free. I think I posted here about this - My friend was, for lack of a better word, robbed by the local police. His front door was open one day and a cop was driving by and saw it. Thinking "Hey, maybe there is someone in the house who isn't supposed to be there..." he stopped. There were some kids playing outside in the house next door and he asked if they saw anyone go in, they replied something to the effect of "No, he's probably off selling drugs and was too high to close his door!"...Apparently, this gives cops reasonable cause to search your house and confiscate all your belongings claiming they are bought with "drug money". The cop went in and found a pipe, which was used to smoke Strawberry flavoured tobacco (my friend doesn't do drugs, just smokes that stuff every now and then, lol) and the cops went from there and just jacked all his stuff and sold it at Sheriff's auction. His motorcycle, computer, tv, everything, lol. He's currently suing them and it's actually, for once, looking like it's going to go in his favor. Most people aren't so lucky, because if cops do find any actual drugs, they can take everything, sell it and that's apparently 100% legal. I dunno'. I dislike cops. On the bright side, though, I've only been pulled over twice, and both times I got verbal warnings for being nice to them. OMGPWNEDURFACE! ____
/ snip /Not too long ago, some chick here in Australia paid for a house with her own money and such. But when her ex-husband was arrested for drug trafficing or whatever almost 10 years AFTER they broke up; the federal police siezed her house simply because his name was also on the documentation citing ownership and it's perfectly legal to sieze all assests of people convicted of drugs crimes in Australia. Man was she pissed off. The media had a field day with it. Quite simply, sometimes police are right bastards to some people just because the law says they can do something. Defender2516
Yeah but without any sources to cite your post just looks like a whinge. Show me your sources where cops are innocent angels protecting the people.. Please.. don't even act as if you don't know what cops do. Besides, any nut behind a keyboard can post any information they wish and call it a offical source. The internet is actually one of the worst places to get information, because there is no way to prove the truth digitally anymore. And don't ask me to site you sources because if you want to believe cops are angels who don't make mistakes, go right ahead. ~Defender~ If you love me, send me a PM. 8 - Love me2 - Hate me
