Its just a great band, 4 people with amazing skills all together. (I must say, Anthony Kiedis isnt that good live)

I hate most of the mainstream rock of today, it all sounds the same and just isn't talented. That's why I go for RHCP. All classic rock is pretty much a favorite with me, and out of current bands I like The White Stripes, Wolfmother, Foo Fighters, RHCP, and more probably that I can't think of. But no screamo/emo/whatever crap.

My top five bands and top 5 songs of theirs are this:

 

Taking Back Sunday: Cute without the E, Your so Last summer, Make Damn sure, Slowdance on the inside, Great Romances of the 20th century.

 

Underoath: Reinventing your exit, I'm content with losing, I've got ten friends and a crowbar that says you ain't gonna do jack, a boy brushed red living black and white, Down set go.

 

Led Zeppelin: Dazed and Confused, Immigrant Song, Trampled Underfoot, In the evening, Stairway to Heaven

 

Chiodos: To Trixie and Reptile Thanks for Everything, Were gonna have us a champagne jam, There's no penguins in Alaska, Baby you wouldn't last a minute on the creek, Baby you wouldn't last a minute on the creek (acoustic)

 

Van Halen: Panama, Jump, Jamies Crying, Best of Both worlds, Hot for Teacher, Little Dreamer.

The only rock band I'll listen to on any kind of regular basis is Rainbow. Temple of the King is one of the best songs ever written.
