June 11, 200719 yr For fun usually, but i do also play them for a challenge. Come on the tip.it forums to check some threads, or information usually. Look to the left at my rsn...
June 12, 200719 yr Why do you Play Games? I don't play anymore because of university I've come a long way to get where I am today and I don't want to ruin my grades. Why do you use the net alot? During studying I need 10 and 15 min breaks to escape what I'm studying or I go nuts. Why do you play Runescape? I used to play it because I had a "reputation" and I didn't want any of my enemies to beat me in combat and skills, I was competitive :P Then RS2 came out and after all those years of getting the skill levels that could now be obtained in a few months, I got really annoyed. I didn't like the fact that people could catch up to my levels that I worked really hard for in a matter of months. When I did want to play again a few months later, people I had never even heard of before were the best players in the game and most of the 'oldskool' players were dying off. I quit :P I didn't find the fun in it anymore because it had lost its competitiveness. The only people who tell you that you can't do something are those who have already given up on their own dreams so feel the need to discourage yours.
June 12, 200719 yr i use the net to socialize with my friends that live across the country and the ones i cant see or hang out with alot.
June 12, 200719 yr I don't play Runescape anymore. Got too overrun by immature people, and I didn't have time for it.
June 12, 200719 yr Author Yes, the fact that everyone is going for 99 also effects the game in way's you don't see. And the fact that the game is becoming a game for 12 year olds also was a strong reason for quitting. One example is the luring rule. I need the net, I'm addicted to it. Whatever I'm doing it's fun. Does anyone have any wierd :-s reason's why they use the net or play games? But behave
June 12, 200719 yr I quit runescape as soon as rs2 came out. I have since gone on rs2 and it is so confusing with so many different items I don't even bother. To further my reasons for the net, talking to friends on msn and downloading music for my i-Pod.
June 12, 200719 yr This is OT - the third question doesn't apply : Why do you Play Games? For fun, and for money occasionally :P Nothing like shooting up someone on the other end of the interweb instead of shooting someone up irl :P At least you can shoot them again and again in some games :P Why do you use the net alot? I was an IT student, go figure. Computers and the internet are the backbone of my very career. And to socialize and whatnot, etc.
June 12, 200719 yr Ever heard the phrase 'life is the permenant search for temporary satisfaction'? That's why we play games.
June 12, 200719 yr But that can't be the ONLY reason, and if it is, do you play a game even if it isn't fun. Yes, it is the only reason. And if it stops being fun, then I'll stop playing. This is how much you all raised for charity. Thank you.
June 12, 200719 yr I'm on the internet because I hate it so much and I never get any entertainment out of it. I just do it to annoy myself, duh. And why I played Runescape, because some of my friends were playing. It's just like smoking actually. Signature by Maurice SendakWhen the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, that's amore!
June 12, 200719 yr Author Ever heard the phrase 'life is the permenant search for temporary satisfaction'? That's why we play games. When I read that, and think about it. It's so true. But do we not also crave for pure satisfaction? Or to get somewhere? I sometimes play a game, because that's what I do, it's part of my routine. It's almost as natural as eating. :-k

Nothing lasts forever so we just deal with it and try to get satisfaction out of it anyway.
June 13, 200719 yr Author But the thing is, I can't believe that everyone going for a 99 Skill did it because it satisfied them. They would of had to pushed themself on. Dragged even. Nor was i satisfied when i got a 99 Skill. Some people play games to win money. You can't tell me it comes down to I'm mindless and live for fun, that's why I play. So if murdering or raping someone was fun, you'd do it? Or if it was satisfying you'd have a whack? I know people play games for fun ... I'm not even sure what i'm hoping somone to say anymore.
June 13, 200719 yr Well I use the net mainly for myspace (ooh yess.. I am addicted haha)... and chatting (but no one is on right now *sniff* lol)....and occasionally I look on forums when I am bored (like right now)... :D I don't play Runescape anymore (I just can't seem to get back into it).. nor any other games... dull. June 13, 200719 yr Well, entertainment is a big factor, and then there's also that we might be bored, need something to do in our free time, (which I'm sure all of you have lots of), yeah, there are a lot of reasons.
