June 16, 200719 yr Jagex has said that they don't read macroer reports because their system is "so good". Report them if you wish but it won't do anything.
June 16, 200719 yr This is pretty obvious. My friend was with loads of lvl 3s when he was cutting yews. He tried to talk to them, but none of them responded. That was quite a while ago, and they never came on. I think they got banned for macroning by Jagex Staff. First - Credit to Otbg . Second - Credit to 4be2jue
June 17, 200719 yr And, even though you may do, you SHOULD NOT report people just because they are level 3, or because they wear mime/camo/lederhosen clothes, or because they have weird auto-like names. You could easily be reporting innocent people I've yet to see a level 3 skiller with a name like plk99v99.... And! Another way to see if they're an autoer is that usually they have names with letters that are very clost togother on the keyboard, such as: qwe642672 OR lkjlkj888 Vienna Raszyn Warsaw Klushino
June 17, 200719 yr It's hard. Because you can only report one autoer every 1 minute. So if I am air rune crafting or something, everytime I do a run. I report another autoer. Training my pure!
June 17, 200719 yr Personally, I think if a Level 3 skiller is going to look like an autoer and hide in a crowd of autoers, and not talk, it'd be about as smart as walking into a bank with a ski mask on during a robbery and expecting to make a deposit. Genius Post :D lol I usually speak to them all for a while, and report the ones that dont reply, especially when they all walk the exact same path everytime from the yews to the bank. Website Updates & Corrections | Website Discussion
June 17, 200719 yr I often report like 2-3 then i go away. Proud owner of fire cape since 9/12/06 99/99fletching99/99 thieving
June 17, 200719 yr Maybe just coincidence, but quite often, reporting a level 3 at the Yews, sees them getting a random within the next miniute - do the reports get added immediately to the random event generator, making the report target more likely to be hit by one? In real terms, there can't be much chance of finding an honest level 3 skiller among the insane amount of alphanumeric soup names infesting every Yew like greenfly.
June 17, 200719 yr There are a TON of autoers all in green and yellow colours south of the draynor cabbage patch. there is always 7-10 of them, some of them actually go to that island..... Kah..... bah...... danm! Whats the third one again?
June 17, 200719 yr As we are unaware how the report system works it is best to report all you can. I heard once that it just sends a text based ovewview of what you, and the reported person was doing.... if so it would not get all of them.
June 17, 200719 yr I just report the Macroers who are wearing clothes like Mime, Camo or Forester. Why do they get them more then I? yeah aint it so
June 17, 200719 yr You guys have sick minds, reporting every lever 3 you see. This is the PROPER method for determining autoers in a group of level 3's. You: Hi there, _______! Woodcut level? Add their name to friends list. Private chat them: Hi there! Woodcut level? 30 secs later... You: Hello _______ are you there??? Pm: Are you there? 10 secs later: You: Reported Omg for your information you dont just go around reporting all level 3's you see by yew trees. You can easily get banned for Misuse of Customer Support. I would intentionally ignore people like you.. 1074th to 99 Hunter
June 17, 200719 yr Most are real people that cannot talk. It is their job to get gold etc. and trade it to their leader. They work in horrible factories and only have time to gather things. You see them stop walking? They are people forced to play the game. Could be considered autoing, but they are in fact real world trading. My oppinion is that Jagex's system of banning autoers in fact works. I think it would be easy to detect an outside program. But it's quite harder to monitor suspicious trades. How many people give gifts sometimes? a lot
June 18, 200719 yr Well guys, you should confirm that players are autoers before reporting, like asking questions to them directly. After X seconds without a response, THEN you can report them.
June 18, 200719 yr There is an easy way to report every autoer: 1.Go to runescape main menu 2.Click on "comment on our service" 3.Click the link for "other" 4.Title the message "Suspected breakers of rule 7" (if you suspect some players may be those sweatshop autoers described in the recent announcement [you can get a clue if they have asian sounding names] then use the title "Suspected breakers of rule 7/12" because 12 is real world item trading, which is what those people are paid to do. 5. Tell the location and world of the autoers, and if its a free or mem world 6. List the names of every autoer you can name. 7. send the message 8. Within a few days you'll probably get a message from a mod saying he sent the message to a team to track the autoers. *Note: you only have 400 characters in your message, so if there is a great deal of autoers you may need to send multi messages *Note: this process is described in a sticky in the RSOF rants form titled "autoer discussions" *Note: at the mod who responded to me stated, this method is still slower than the report abuse because it must be forewarded to the macro track team. thus if there are only a few autoers, you're better off reporting them. Using this method, you can report massive amounts of autoers rather quickly without the 1 min wait! [hide=]tip it would pay me $500.00 to keep my clothes ON :( :lol:But then again, you fail to realize that 101% of the people in this universe hate you. Yes, humankind's hatred against you goes beyond mathematical possibilities. That tears it. I'm starting an animal rebellion using my mind powers. Those PETA bastards will never see it coming until the porcupines are half way up their asses.[/hide]Apparently a lot of people say it. I own. http://linkagg.com/ Not my site, but a simple, budding site that links often unheard-of websites that are amazing for usefulness and fun.
June 18, 200719 yr Before reporting I would first try as best as I can to give a 1 minute grace period and politely ask "Are you all legitamate players?" If they do not respond within that 1 minute I would report those that are extremely likely to be macroers (such as people in the default green clothing, special events clothing, or have names like "vrrbv690"). ~Retired 13-July-2010~Thanks for the great memories folks :).
