Age Of Empire Series Are Just GREAT!

I used to play Age of Empires II all the time. I got pretty good at it.

 

 

 

Now I'm playing Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth II: The Rise of The Wiitch King *takes breath*

Is it any good ? Is it downloadable ? :-w ( Since i got The battle For Middle Earth II )

No it's not downloadable (legally) , but you can buy it at any game store. It's like the expansion pack.

 

I love it. The online play is really good and it fixes a lot of the glitches in the non-expansion version. You should get it for sure.

Stronghold Crusader was a great game, pretty old now.

a quick google search would get you a torrent, and you will have the game in an hour or two of downloading.

The WH40K: Dawn of War series.

 

 

 

Also, Medieval 2: Total War. Late game hint: Arquebusiers backed by pikes and with artillery support with a flying cavalry detachment to mop up.

 

 

 

For classics, you don't get much better than Total Annihilation.

Age of Mythology is fantastic, even if it is really old....

 

Advance Wars 1 and 2 for the GBA are good. I play them on my emulator on the computer.

Settlers FTW! :D especially II and III were great...

 

Settlers IV was just impossible to beat IMO...

take a region, build nuke silos/airbases/fleets and nuke the other player's cities. real world alliances are out of the window in this game.

Hah! Stronghold crusader is great :) Have you tried stronghold 2 yet? With patches installed I loved it.

 

About a month ago I was able to install my old age of empires 2 onto a windows 98 we have. Man, that felt great. Such a good gameplay, beats the newer games I've played. I even thought the games were pretty nice. I love it's style of graphics alot. :)

 

I've been playing Empire earth again lately. I must say, I'm enjoying it :D

Going to have to vote for Age of Empires series (although I've only actually got the original AOE from 1997... yikes, has it been that long?), and StarCraft (quite possibly the most brilliant RTS game I've played). StarCraft II is coming out soon and that looks amazing.

 

 

 

Wish I had a computer that could play it though. :P

Classic strategy games? You can't beat Fire emblem.

 

 

 

FE: Goddess of Dawn is going to be released soon. At the moment it is japanese, but there is a high chance it will be brought out in english. it's for the wii.

 

 

 

It's predescor, Path of Radiance was pretty good.
