Can anyone else confirm this? I used to go to the ice trolls at jatizso and get about 3 rune kiteshields, lots of other rune items, and the occasional granite shield. I killed ice trolls for several hours today, and didn't get a single rune item, or granite shield!!! Why would Jagex nerf my favorite training spot?

Drops are all random, you could get rune drops every single drop, or never get a single rune drop.

 

You have way too little data to confirm wether or not the drops have been nerfed.

I killed a few hundred of them. That's good enough data for me, considering I usually get a rune item every 20 or so kills. Trust me, not getting a rune item there is rare. Plus I got a lot of big bone and nothing drops which rarely happened before.

I kill troll runts alot and havent noticed any difference at all

2 days ago i was tere and got lots of good drops so no its not nerfed its just bad luck

It's almost defiently not, you just have bad luck occasionally.

The trolls in the cave were nerfed a week after the quest was released so they only drop bones now. I fight the ones in multicombat just north of jatizso. There are guards there helping you, and you get the drop as long as you damage them at all. I use melee prayer the whole time and wear the fremmenik shield (lowers ranged max damage to 2). I also bring a few pieces of food for the rangers cause they hit often for 1 or 2.

That is something I didn't know! Thanks for that tip. Do you have any area you suggest I should camp? Any tips whatso ever may be helpfull. Finally a reason to go back there ;)

i say its just a streak of bad luck, unless the people in official runescape forums suggest this then theres no reason to believe it is nerfed... a few days ago there was a "THE DARK BOW HAS BEEN NERFED"...but no such thing happened, its just a streak of bad luck. i used to get lots of rune stuff and clue from jellies but not anymore, i dont think its nerfed its just bad luck.

well i was there 2 days ago, and compared to when i first fought them, it does seem like the amount of "good" drops i got from them decreased.

 

 

 

First 5 I killed during the quest, which I did last week gave me 1 addy helm, 1 rune kite, and 1 g shield. Later, I went back and got plenty still.

 

 

 

This time, I killed maybe a couple hundred getting only a rune kite and rune warhammer...

Like it's already been said tons of times on every single "omg hax jagex nerfed [X]!!@!@!@" thread... It's more than likely just a stretch of bad luck. Drops are all random, the only thing you can do to slightly increase the chance of a lucky drop is a Ring of Wealth. Unless Jagex has confirmed it I highly, highly doubt that the drop rates of ice trolls has been nerfed.

Come up with some statistics and people might believe u.

Unfortunately, you have no evidence other than the bad luck you seemed to have experienced, until then, it's just rumour.
