JaGeX's New Poll Too Hard?

Featured Replies

It was somewhat depressin' seeing those "I don't know" swords growing so big...

I agree. I was pretty shocked by the amount of people who don't even know their screen size and resolution of their monitor! I was pretty amazed but proven right at the same time. The majority population of this game are stupid kids.

When everything's been said and done, more has been said than done.

Do you think this poll was a failure for JaGeX? Nope.

Were you able to correctly answer the questions? Yes

What updates do you think this will pertain to? I'm hoping for better detail/nicer animations/bigger game screen

Actually, if you are using a computer with M$ windows, then all you need to do is go start-run and type "DXDIAG" . It shows you everything you want (sometimes it lies a little, but that's forgivable) IDK about mac or linux users tbh.

OT: No, i don't know much about computers, even the term "GPU" was at first confusing to me. But i do know enough to keep my PC fit and well and update it

Elfs creating a crystal Axe would be like GreenPeace creating a Nuclear Powered Harpoon for killing seals...

1) Not really, see point 3.

2)Yes.

3)To make people like me have a good laugh :D.

I mean, come on, I seriously hope that JaGEx isn't taking the answers of this poll too serious. Cause if they do alot of people who've answered 2GB or more to the RAM question, won't be able to play if JaGEx changes the graphics to those standards(If they can even go that far with Java).

Like someone else already said;

It's probably something that is nice to know, but the results aren't very reliable.

Maybe they'll add a "Computer Basics Tutor" on tutorial island in the future :D.

LOL, that's hilarious... this far 37% of players don't know their monitor aspect ratio. OMG, that's incredible. Even if you don't know the term, surely the only two answers narrow it down somewhat??? Hmmm, 4by3 or 16by9 (regular or widescreen).

Come on people... get a clue.

To find out the rest...

Right click START and select EXPLORE. Now right click on My Computer & select PROPERTIES. Now on the GENERAL tab, you'll see lots of computer information including process speed and memory installed.

For resolution, simply right click on your desktop and again select PROPERTIES, your resolution information can be found there.

If you're unaware of your connection type, or don't know roughly how old your computer is, then that's just plain ignorance (unless of course your playing on a school computer or something, in which case you could ask someone)

Maybe Jagex should've realised how many idiots play (should've known that by observing behaviours in game as it's obvious there), and include this information.

I answered all the questions correctly. I was surprised to see that a lot of players had over 2000 MB ram, I'm stuck with a crappy computer with just 256MB ram. :(

If I had 1024MB ram, I would be playing WoW. <.<

Me too. <.<

If I'd check my computers 'memory' by putting my cursor over the C drive icon like all the others did, I'd have 54 GB RAM. :XD:

Yes way too many people answered that they have 2gigs+ of ram and a 2.0 Ghz processor. Im pretty sure that most people didnt know what these mean, and by these standards (using HD space instead of ram) I guess I would need a 240 Gig category :P

Was it a fail for Jagex? No

was it a fail for the people who voted I don't know? Hell yes, the biggest phail in phaildom.

I was able to answer everything except the processer, I don't know the gHz :(

Yeah, also those players got the question about RAM wrong.

The majority of players probably have 256

Do you think this poll was a failure for JaGeX? Yes definitely

Were you able to correctly answer the questions? Nope

What updates do you think this will pertain to? No idea probably something Big as it's asking how fast your computer can go...Possibly todays Engine update?

Do you think this poll was a failure for JaGeX? Not at all.

Were you able to correctly answer the questions? Yes.

What updates do you think this will pertain to? To see how many idiots play runescape.

Seriously. Who doesn't know if they have a widescreen monitor or not? And i highly doubt that that many people have over 2 gigs of ram.
