i'm seein so many people using filters and over brushing these premade brushes so much i swear im starting to see the same ones over and over again, its like almost every combination of filters and burshes possible have been used. so here, I offer you this advice... Be creative, lose the filters. stop using other people images in your work. You will nver get better using premade brushes, images, or filters for that fact... also try not to abuse the photshop stlyes. I can understand 1px stroke or drop shadow (to a certain extent) to make your images look clean but honestly, this is getting out of hand.

We've had plenty of posts like this and we don't need anymore. Of course opinions are welcomed but ones that are just redundant and you've seen about, 8,391.251 times is just lame.

Power of PhotoShop lies in its combination of filters and handy tools. Besides, any tard can make the difference between a GOOD sig ( like ran shadow or misterxman ) and just a damn render, like clouds and such...

In my post did it say anywhere "These people are asking for the Guy in black dragon.... because everyone else has it no, I'm just pointing out thats what a lot of posts are.

i show you a unique piece gimme 5-6 hours and it will be complete its just a monster on its own though pixel by pixel shading

Can you people read? I do pixels myself but only if I come up with a good idea nothing tedious. Its just a lot of requests are the same.

Did I ever say filters are good? No. See I don't think filters look good, when I do my rare abstract I use bryce and then make it all snazzy in Photoshop. I hate filters, I absolutely do. Only if you can get a truely good looking effect out of it then do it but most of the time you can't. So before you assume anything about me, maybe you should get to know me.

When you make a raw render in C4D or Bryce it looks like crap... cure u can apply materials and stuff, but with photoshop u can make it look really good... PhotoShop is basically an editing program, not a CREATING program :)

photoshop is a creating prgram, made for desinging websites, and many other things, not editing. it just happens to be a good editing tool.

To be honest I never intended any of my pixel sigs to be considered much art, I'm just in it for the gp. As long as I can make the customers happy, and the people who see the sigs wonder about it, that's fine because it accomplishes my objective. None of my sigs are ever for Media people, so I don't think my customers could care much if there's similarity because they usually take their sigs to their clan forums where there are no sigs like theirs. I'd rather draw in MSpaint for 6-8 hours than mine 30 hours in RS for gp. If I want to do art I'll draw in RL, which I don't do as often as I should. :oops:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Yes, there are few good works posted on the Media Board, but it's impossible to stop the lesser work from being posted. One just has to cope with it, and the only way one can do something about it is to work hard in one's artwork and post it more often to fill the Media Board with more quality.

I agree with you. Anyone who's good does. But, there's nothing we can seem to do about it. You just have to live with it. The media board used to be great on scapeboard with amazing artists, but it's changed. No point in griping about it. Noobs will be noobs.

doesnt it seem like the more time spent on pixeling the less time you spend on drawing... my notebooks used to be crammed with drawings... and now the comp is crammed with pixel sigs. i miss my pencil *goes looking for it*

when i get very lazy some day, im going to make premade drawings of archers then just stick em into sigs... everybody wants archers... nobody wants mages! whatever happened to them!!

who cares if ppl all ask the same things... thats the difference between a good creator and a noob.... i myself try to be as much original as possible , sometimes it doesnt works , sometimes it does. let them ask , its not you who needs to put it under ur post . You only get payed for noob things , sometimes i sell really nooby sigs because ppl ask for these things. The customer is king! bring on the cash baby!
