Rollback didn't only take back xp..

Actually, in Seattle, it was about 10pm, 6/5/06. In the UK it was 6/6/06, and I suppose on the east coast it would have been as well. But in at least half of America, it was still 6/5.

why was there a rollback? there must have been a serious problem for them to do a rollback. They didn't do a rollback even during the falador massacre and I thought they would have then so it must have been something very serious :?

when a player was pking other players outside the wilderness (in falador) and the date of this bug abuse was coincidentally at june 6, 2006, also called 6\6\6.

Previously it duped items as the events happened the other way round aka the item was spawned to playerb before it was deleted from playera

 

 

 

That's not how the dupe worked....

 

 

 

A packet was sent to the server to trade a phat, the server didn't make a check to see if the person had a phat in the first place so it just took a non existent phat out of player A's inventory and put a phat in the trade screen.

 

 

 

Something similar happened with banker killing. The regular client did not have a right click attack option for bankers, so the player would send a packet to the server to attack the banker. JaGeX hadn't caught up with packet sending so they didn't make a check to see if the NPC was attackable or not.

 

 

 

I was refering to a roll back caused dupe.

Thats really lame that you lost your mask :( I remember one story of another rollback where 2 brothers gained a free white party hat between them.
