We'll, me and a friend always dreamed of a Green h'ween mask, this afternoon we bought on, we were both really happy.

 

 

 

I went off and gave the mask to my friend, I log back in and the worlds were offline. I talk with my friend and 10 minutes later, we log in. I get a PM asking if I had the mask. I looked in my bank and I saw 9.2M and a bunch of flax and bs, a rollback eh? We spinned 20k flax to get my friend's last 2M. I say I don't have the mask and he asks if I have the 17.8M (He gave me his money because I wanted to buy it). I said I only had my 9.2M and then he said he only had 2K in his bank. :(

 

 

 

I was shocked. The rollback also made items dissapear, I looked on the Official Forums and I saw other people lost stuff to. One person gave his Fury and Obby Cape to a friend, rollback, both log in and the items were gone. :?

 

 

 

Sorry if there allready has been a tread about this but I wanted to know if other people had it to..

so what you're saying is that rares dissappeared out of the game because some were traded before the crash. along with some other items that were traded. that's interesting... what time did it happen, GMT time?

Basicly you won't get your items back, it's impossible for Jagex to check if you really lost them or you are just lying,

 

I'm not talking about you specific but I can imagine lots of people saying they lost their phat in an attempt to get one.

 

 

 

Jagex is not to blame for the downtime, it was a fault at their ISP wich lost complete internet connection.

I"m glad i missed it i would lose willows. lol. But it isn't good. I think it had to do with the rd party program thing that made the worlds crash

With the white party hat thing that happened awhile ago, I figured your mask would have been duplicated rather than disappeared.

If I remeber correctly

 

 

 

Previously any trades happening at the instant of a bk-up (to which a rollbk sets accounts)

 

 

 

classed BOTH accounts as having the items within the trade window

 

 

 

Now is classes as NEITHER having the items

 

 

 

This only applies to trades that are accepted in the same second as the back-up of course.

 

 

 

It means now instead of a few items being duped by a rollbk, a few items are lost

I just finished killing kharil in the tunnel and was killing some skeles for 10 kill count, then it said connection lost and logged me out.

 

And i couldnt log back in so i just packed her in for the night.

 

And i log in today and i have a full inventory of stuff and i am under canafis pub.

Yea, it was so annoying-soz for the mask btw, it makes my troubles seem like nothing.

Andrew posted here this morning, basically the servers all were down, and they couldn't do anything about it, as it wasn't a problem about them, but a problem with another company that hosts the servers. To get them back up they did a 15 minute roll back as that was the last saved characters. I'll try and get a quote soon.

 

 

 

Oh and on-topic that's real hard luck man, I've never heard of this happening before..

Our core hosting facility has lost it's internet connection. We are (urgently!) talking to the ISP now.

 

 

 

When this sort of thing happens it's normally because a router somewhere has died, so hopefully it won't take them too long to fix, but since it's a fault with a 3rd party system, now we've let them know all we can do is wait (and keep nagging them every 10 mins, heheh)

I'd post some news on the runescape website about it, except the news posting system is at the same ISP and is also offline! Hmm perhaps I should change that.

No item were lost you went back to your last saved version and it saves wevery 15 minutes.

 

 

 

I was on with all my rares for all 3 and still have them but lost 190k smithing xp -.-

I don't see why everyone is complaining.. On the forums it said it was only a 15 minute roll back. How did you guys get all these levels and 190k xp in smithing in 15 minutes?
