There are so many aspects of real life that you can't even put into games. Let's look at some of the more exciting things you can do in life. Those dangerous hobbies that get your heart going. Skydiving, base jumping, and scuba diving. Smaller activities such as surfing. The thing about these is they give you an exhilarating feeling. The ability to feel is what games lack. There are very intense feelings such as sex. There's also the sense of danger. In games, you can't die (literally). In real life, you can die, and when you do, it's over. Lots of people do things for the sense of danger. The fact that what they're doing has a chance of killing them gives them an adrenaline rush. Also, in real life, anything can happen. You can't step out into the real world and predict what will happen with percentages and probabilities.

 

 

 

Games are restricted by programming, and they will only satisfy your senses of sight and sound.

 

Real life is restricted by nothing but the laws of physics. It will satisfy all of your feelings.

lemme tell you a story....

 

 

 

there was once a boy called timmy he was 12 years old, he had friends both good and bad, his parents were still married and living happily. Then came timmy's 13th birthday and things started going downhill, his bad friends encouraged him to smoke with them because they thought it would be "cool", he decided not, so his friends started to bully him to make him smoke, he kept denying to do it, so then they stopped being his friend.... his parents split up and fights were going on left and right swearing ,shouting, the works!! so one day in his class a good friend of his showed him a game called runescape, he started the way all of you did(as a 'noob' ;-) ). He found new friends there better than those smokers. when he got home he played runescape to be in a different world, a world where he's not forced to listen to people shouting and swearing a world called runescape..

 

 

 

okay, for all of you who read the whole story (WOW rly?!!) can just see why runescape would be better for some more than others. but end of the day you gotta remember one thing, its just a

 

 

 

GAME

 

 

 

and what your doing right now is

 

 

 

living

 

 

 

and there are some experiences that you cant have ingame ( NO, not smoking or taking drugs ) but other things like:

 

. being loved

 

. having a decent conversation with people face 2 face

 

. walking through the field and smelling that fresh smell of grass and stuff

 

. going in or riding a plane/boat/car/rocket etc etc

 

 

 

you get the point. so yeah i dont have an opinion but i have examples hope that helps the post

this game sucks. I started playing for like a week and it was pretty fun so I got a subscription. after like level 60 it just started sucking because the levels took soo freaking long. I was gonna cancel the subscription on it's last day but then with 4 days left it gave me 30 more days and I had to pay 5 more bucks! I was so pissed off!

runescape used to be small, simple and fun. it has now grown into a massive game full of challenges and intricate complexity.

I would choose the same but you can't say "rl > pixels" in all situations. Here's an example: it's more emotionally fulfilling to associate with girls (or people in general) however you'd surely rather have a sword swung into you in RuneScape than real life. "Pixels" can be beautiful too. Imagine looking at a nice landscape with a rushing waterfall. Going away from RuneScape-specific topics, computer graphics truly are amazing in our current times. Sometimes looking at the beauty of computer graphics can even be more fulfilling than those of real life. Looking at computer-rendered water really does amaze me more so than water in real life because we are so used to water in real life - it's almost boring in a way. Maybe it's because I'm a computer programmer, but I appreciate the beauty of computer-rendered water in a unique way. The fact that we HAVE technology to produce these stunning results, the intelligent people who design the hardware, software frameworks, and the effect code is quite amazing to me.

The economy of our world will be based on the Grand Exchange, & the government, royal family & supreme rulers of the world shall be Jagex. Mature people will be at the bottom of society, while the typo prone little 10 year olds will have the say in things as Jagex favours them so.

 

Your wealth will be calculated by how much GP & rares you have. Poor people will only have a few rooms in their houses, & will only reach around 20 construction. Moderators will patrol the streets, looking for rule breakers to chuck into the slammer. People will go to church & recieve Saradomins blessing in the form of Prayer points.

 

We will abandon modern day technology & resort to sticks, stones & rune minotaurs.

 

 

 

Alas, this is our future. Earth will be the game, RuneScape will be our lives.
