Construction is a very unique skill with very unique 'rewards'. It is very well designed and currently the only money drain skill in Runescape. JageX have really done a good job on the construction skill.

 

 

 

Construction is the one skill that Jagex or autoers can't ruin. Construction is such a fun skill that autoers can't touch. The only way autoers can ruin the skill is lower the price of planks, which no matter how much the autoers impact the market, Construction will still be expensive. I feel pride when I look at my house. It is continually growing, so I feel great and honor to have such a nice house. When I hit 99, I will have the rarest cape in the game. What is not to like about it?

That is so true. I always invite friends to come over to my place. With my 70 construction and a lovely house lay-out, it tends to be quite impressive to some who are not used to such houses. For myself, not only did I make my house usefull, I also tried to make it look nice. I have 3 gardens in a row. When you enter the house, you instantly calm down (my opinion) by the garden, as it is totally different then the rest of RS.

 

 

 

The throne room and dungeon are quite fun to have. And a guilded altar impresses a lot of people! The overall completeness of a house is something very satisfying to me. Having everything in my house, feels like having my very own bit of Runescape.

 

 

 

If they needed to change 1 thing? .. More ways to show your skills perhaps.

I love it, infact starting monday I'm going to start runecrafting money for 99con(84mil+55mil for decoration). Its so cool having your own chunk of runescape to call your own.

I hate to burst your bubble there, but you can only have one game room at a time, I'm not sure about combat rooms, haven't tried that yet. I was pretty disappointed by that myself, I wanted one with hangman, and one with the treasure hunt or whatever game in it.

its almost impossibe to train without gold. (picking up plank respawns) Thats the reason im only 40

yeah, tog, xp lamps and picking up planks are the only free way and take a long time, but paying for con is worth it as you can save money with armor stands, guilded alters, and portals

My favorite skill. I love the idea of making your own house and a great place for parties. Good fun all round

Construction/POH's release was HUGE, people didn't care less about buying that all important party hat or buying full guthans, when the update came out of nowhere, BAM! People began to burn their money into this whole new skill. I just looked at the KB article over and over again, looking at what you can build and looking at the pictures, it looked like the biggest skill ever to be made. So, the race began to be number 1 in this skill began.

 

 

 

The main thing which caught everyone's eyes was the Chapel with the Guilded Altar, it is by far, the most useful thing to use if your getting 99 Prayer. One thing struck to everyone, the cost. People began burning their money into it, very quickly as well, then, they had to stop and find an alternative to make money, almost everyone was training construction. The demand for the Planks needed was huge, too many people were cutting down Oaks and trees for planks.

 

 

 

Soon, most people ran out of money and went away to make money again, however, those who were rich enough and enjoyed the skill continued. Construction had lots and lots of uses and people soon realized the importance of this.

 

Dungeons; Everyone wanted this, what more could you want than a pet Metal Dragon to attack your guests?

 

Teleport Rooms; This was a quick way to get around the world. E.g, ran out of planks, use teleport room to falador and switch to world 2.

 

Study; The Lecterns were used to make teleport tablets, a simple one click teleport.

 

Chapels; The Gilded Altar made training prayer easier. Which made everyone train prayer.

 

Costume Rooms; Now you can save more bank space!

 

 

 

But, the main key which most of the people here have discussed that Auoters can't train this skill, which is great! Now there is skill that we can all enjoy. Another thing which construction showed that the skill was very flexible, you could do almost anything with this skill, from decorations to making your house alot more bigger.

 

 

 

The dawn of house parties began as well, anyone who said "I have a dungeon" was begged by people to let him/her to open their house and let them in.

 

 

 

In my view, I love this skill. I might go train this, its a nice relaxing skill which you can show off your house to everyone. Lets hope Jagex expand this skill more in the future.

I love construction. Definitely one of the best skills in my opinion. Today alone I put about 1.5mil into my house. It's just addicting and you want to spend all of your money on it and you run out of cash quick. I would rather have a completely full house and all of the best furniture than a party hat. A house is way more useful and... there's isn't a chance of dying and losing it.
