If people consider Nirvana classic rock, then I will eat my shoe.

And try as I might I can't seem to get into this whole jazz thing. Maybe it's just me, but it seems like everyone around here who listens to it has a holier-than-thou attitude, more so even than the shredder kids.

Haha yeah I had a bit of a laugh when I read Nirvana and AC/DC as classic rock.

Zepplin, AC/DC, Queen, Deep Purple, Hendrix, The Beatles, Pink Floyd, and The Rolling Stones. Period.

PS: I know some of these aren't classic rock but still...at least I don't listen to Fall Out Boy.

I don't see what that has got to do with the quality of the music though. But yea, those Jazz kids usually think they're very cool, interesting and know much more then the rest of the world.

It doesn't. It's just not my thing. But because of them it's that much more difficult for me to endure it ;).

ac/dc IS classic rock, and if not, classic metal. nirvana has no chance in hell of being classic rock though, at least not for another 20-30 years.

Look at you. AC/DC most certainly is not classic metal. At all.

Nirvana is grunge. Music doesn't become classic rock as it gets older, its simply name that designates the bands at the beginning of rock. Also, AC/DC isn't classic metal. They don't classify themselves as that either.

if the rock is timeless(can fit 50 years ago to 50 years from now) thats what i call classic rock. kind of like the book 1984.

I like some classic rock, but I also like Wolfmother because they have a sort of classic rock sound about them, and if you've never heard them, get out from under the rock you've been living under and listen to them.

Sig by me....

well, as you can see im a metalhead, but the ONLY good classic rock band ill listen to, (if they are) is Queen, they are gods of music

But does anyone besides me find the best day is a day coming home to The Who, The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers Band, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, etc.?

OMG...Those are the bands I listen too :D

Mizzou is ballin'!

Illini are fallin'!

Kansas is dead.

Their bassist/keyboard player fails at it though. He has the distorted Hammond sound down but it's just like WAKLJFLK:ASJDF:LKSJDFLK:DJF and a bunch of noise. At least on Woman.

How can we look over The Doors!? :D

Easy, cut a hole in the wall above it #-o . Anyways, I like classic rock more simply because it's alot softer and more soothing imo and even though there's bands that can repeat the sound, there's a difference between inventing and creating :-# .
