Runescape Is Bland.

Runescape is a great game. There are lots of things to do whether it be cutting a tree, hitting a rock, or if youÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢re lucky, mimic a mime.

 

 

 

IÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢m beginning to think that Runescape is way too bland. Hit a rock, stop. Hit a rock, stop. Start cutting a tree, wait for it to disappear, cut it again.

 

 

 

Something needs to be done with this. Sure, there are some things that are somewhat not boring. You can be advanced and get other NPCÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢s to cut logs and fish for you. You can even store all your things in a bank!

 

 

 

Just kidding. There are some things in Runescape that are actually somewhat fun. Casting magic can be a blast, if you have millions of gp to pay for the expensive runes. Better yet, you can spend hours making the runes yourself.

 

 

 

I think that Runescape needs some things to do that are somewhat complicated. Sure, the puzzles and Barbarian Assault was a start, but if Jagex really wants a moneymaker, I suggest incorporating more multi task related skills.

 

 

 

So, what are your opinions?

Oh, I've quit the game. This is an old topic that I felt the need to post on these forums, rather than Runescape Community.

 

 

 

Also, the Wilderness is practically ruined with the addition of Crossbows and other strength enhancing items. You can 2-3 hit your opponents with ease now.

Edit:On Pking, thats only in P2P...in a really unevenly matched fight, its not that easy to 2-3 hit someone in F2P.

Try the mage training arena, the law rune area puzzles are actually quite fun.

 

 

 

Or play sudoku on RS instead of on paper, and get awarded cheap prices for runes :D

Bnaped, as I said earlier, PKing has made a turn for the worst with all the new additions to items. Heck, most of the items people are wearing are non seeable like FireCapes, Defenders and Fighter Torso's.

You no actually I've noticed the same thing. I used to play so much a couple years ago. I quit for awhile and thought it might be interesting to play it again, but sometimes I feel like I am forcing myself to play it.

 

 

 

I think maybe you are missing a certain social aspect of the game? Do you have alot of RS friends? It's good to have competion as a drive to spend countless hours clicking a mouse.

 

 

 

Or you could get drunk and play RS that makes it way less boring.

 

 

 

As for pking, just pk on F2P. Much more balanced in my opinion.

Oh, yes I did when I played. I enjoyed it very much so the first year or two I played. But, as time went on, my friend had quit and I was left. This is when I felt that Runescape just wasn't what it used to be, and I decided it was best to end it. Farming (and slayer) are two of the better integrated skills in RS that don't follow the traditional point, click, point, click repetition. (Slayer is especially good on this.)

 

 

 

If you're looking to break up the monotony, I encourage you to try different skills, or set a goal for yourself and achieve it (even if that goal is to sign off ;) ).

 

 

 

Your thought about "multi-task" related skills is somewhat interesting, but honestly the structure of the skills and the difficulty level prevents them from being more complex. What I mean by structure, is that they have to follow the 13 mill to 99 matrix, and the difficulty level must be such that they cannot be leveled in -normal- play in less than 3 months or so.

 

 

 

If you want to look at "multi-task" skills, create your own! While slaying, mine or chop a tree in between tasks, or when farming, fish a few dozen loads of fish in between crop rotations. Skills like WCing or any for that matter are boring because of the way people play them primarily.

 

 

 

Now, that being said, it would be very nice to see some development to the gameplay so the point, click, point, click was improved. Oh, and make-x doesn't help as it makes the game less immersive and more of a background distraction. If you want to improve that gameplay for leveling wcing, new items or new trees are only a temporary measure. Perhaps there could be a new structure to leveling where it's: chop roots, chop trunk, chop branches options... or the axe dulls gradually (increased exp for a sharper axe) -- really the possibilities are endless.

 

 

 

This game IS fun because of the people. As is life. A job is either great or miserable depending on the people, same with a school, or a MMORPG such as this.

In my case, yes rs is bland. But, even though I don't Pk, I put myself other goals That should keep me occupied. Other things That make me want to play rs are:

 

1. Forums =P~

 

2.Competition for a rock etc. and :twisted:

 

3. Friends

 

 

 

But in 3, all of my rs friends quite rs or didn't see them in a long time :wall:
