August 16, 200718 yr I need help, i just googled a quest guide, and i was in a rush so i clicked on the first link, and it went to sals runescape realm. DOes anyone know if its safe, or if it gives a virus or somethinng? and i also went to runescape.wikepedia.

Tip.it Rune HQ Sal's Realm of Runescape A lot of the others have viruses, bugs, scams and keyloggers on them, for catching an unwary RS player. I stick with those three. Some of the others dont have a clue what they are talking about.
August 17, 200718 yr I always use Tip.It's quest guide but if some of the info is wrong (updated quests :( ) then I check RHQ's guides...but otherwise I just figure it out myself or use the official QuestHelp :D

Some of the others dont have a clue what they are talking about. There are more honest fan sites out there. I can list about 10 of them right from the top of my head. The three you listed plus Zybez are just the biggest ones. Just avoid sites that sell gold/cheats/bots/accounts and don't ever download anything to your machine unless you are 100% know what it is and that it is safe. Runescape Reader's Digest

There is a difference between having ads of gold selling sites and actually selling RS gold. I was referring to actual 'selling sites' as being unsafe. August 18, 200718 yr I'd just like to add my two cent's worth that Sal's is a great site and safe. :) There's no need for extreme paranoia. August 18, 200718 yr Yes, Sal's Realm is totally safe. I don't use it much at all, but I have a couple of times. Just don't go on any sites that try to get you to real world item trade or ones that ask for your password. And while some sites might have ads for RuneScape gold, just don't click on them, and you're fine. That's how those sites make money, and unfortunately, some people click the ads and get scammed into giving away their password. :( But they don't pick the ads, they get picked by an ad service. The method is called "contectual advertising" and whatever you write about is what your ads are about. Some people just don't bother to take out the bad ones.
