It is possible that you were there long enough that they stopped auto-atking.

yeah, and even logging out into another world will keep the aggressive time. if you are there for longer than a certain time, they stop auto attacking.

Well, since you haven't told anyone who reads this what level the flesh crawlers are, I have to assume that the level of the monsters is something like...

41 < monster level < 82

...in which case you may have encountered a point at which the monsters will stop attacking (Usually 'about 20 monsters killed' or '10 to 15 minutes of battling with them'...) and will switch to a non-aggressive, "shoot me from where you want"-type of state.

To be very honest, this is normal activity for the RuneScape engine, and not something you should complain to Jagex about. From what I understand, this is actually an in-game measure designed to help Jagex catch fighting autoers. Thankfully, as a bonus to non-autoers (as in people who aren't breaking the rules ~ especially rule 7 ~ of the game), it allows them to safespot and use alternate fighting styles other than melee.

So just consider yourself lucky they stopped attacking. I bet your food was starting to run down a little anyway. BTW, if you leave and come back, their aggressive status will reset!!! NEVER FORGET THIS!!!

Hope this all helps. 8-)

Once you are twice the monsters combat + 1 they will no longer aggressively attack, in most cases. Also, after an alloted period of time the monster will lose interest, and no longer aggressively attack you. Simply walk away from the area, and return for the aggressive impulse to be in action once again.

EDIT: Oops, skipped out a word, lol.

x2 +1 iirc

ie, if you're cb 121, monsters 60 or less will no longer be aggro

Auto aggressiveness depends on level (2*Level+1) as well as the natural aggressiveness of the monster.

IIRC, Flesh crawlers will attack everyone, regardless of level.

So, just leave the room and then return.

Changing your location resets the AFK training timer.

Hope this helps

Things that restore aggressiveness:

1. Going outside their "patrol range", maybe as far as a "loading..."

2. Getting a teleport away random

Not sure if they forget if you've been there long enough after a system update.

You dont even have to go to a "loading", or even off of their screen. In taverly dungeon, just go behind the fire obelisk and the dragons will be aggressive again.
