i recently purchased a zamorakian spear into thinking it was a good weapon to be from the god wars dungeon though only 1.5m. as i noticed its spec i went to castle wars to give it a test out. as soon as i saw that the special was an exact copy-paste of the dragon spear i sold it off straight away. my rant is how cheap the special attack is, comon jagex be a little more creative it looks like you had a brain fart during the creation of it.

The stats are actually alot better then the Spear.

 

 

 

Im not sure what other special you were expecting though?

I hate to admit it, but unfortunately, I agree with you somewhat on the subject of the spear's special. :(

 

 

 

Jagex should have at least tried to put some effort into making a new special, especially when something that dynamic comes into the game. It has decent stats, but it should have a reason to be two-handed, and it could've possibly made up for that by having a decent special.

i guess i was expecting like a fast-jab attack using up 60% or so of the bar, simple but more creative then a copy-paste.

Personally though I have never got along with dragon weapons.... they always seem slow unpowerfull inacurate and they are two handed...... never seem the use in them.

Maybe with all the programming for the FOUR specs of the Godsword they didn't enough space/sumtin' to add a decent spec for the zammy spear. ?

 

 

 

I always hated the shove spec..

Isn't the "Shove" special particularly effective on flagholders?

But we don't want another weapon thats just for castle wars. We already got a dragon spear. And it seems like the zammy spear is just a dragon spear with souped out stats and new graphics imo.

I didn't pay much attention to it cuz i can pwnz0r it with my maple short. :P

i like the power it has i found it quite good, design a little sticky yet good but the special is just, how shall we say, cheap? im sure its not to hard to make a simple special. you normally stab someone with a spear so i was definatly expecting a stab special.

Exactly. You should never buy a new weapon without research. Just because it's got the title 'zamorakien' doesn't mean it's good.

 

 

 

And by the way, never base the effectiveness of a weapon on the price. Sure, effectiveness is a part of demand, but it isn't the whole story.

Jagex is people very occupied. They have been quite creative to create runescape but you keep saying more, more, more. He thinks of that.

 

all im asking is they take 2 hours to adjust the special and only the special we have a cw based spear already. i mean the other god weapons got spiffiness but i would like them just to fix this one so zamorak doesnt look cheap. and please prevent flaming because chances are there's someone behind a screen with a packet of matches waiting.

Spear has slightly better stats (+2 prayer bonus also)

 

whip=1 hand and spear=2h

 

 

 

So if you want the slight stat advantadge and like the look of the spear, go with the spear. If you want a shield go with the whip.

 

 

 

Also, I guarentee that the spear will drop a lot as NOBODY buys them and lots of people want to get rid of them, so they will cost a lot less then whips.

Well, spears tends to be quite lame when it comes to fighting.

I have gotten three Zamorakian spears at GWD, luckily my partner always seems to be able to sell them. I think it is just a slap in the face that a rare drop is so pathetic, you spend time and money killing the boss and not even a shard or hilt that is actually sellable. :|
