I don't have 99 levels, but I've played the game since the beta and consider myself an original player. By people who are jealous because they can't get the 5-year reward? Well, they could.... in 5 years. It's actually be longer than that for me. I started in college and have been out for 5 years. I'm 29 years old, have a wife, baby and a full-time job. My lvl 90 isn't going to be the same lvl 90 as the teenager during summer vacation. I just think it would show a little respect to those who have helped pave the way for the game, not just the ones that have the time to kill. I'm only 87 combat and still can't mine adam, but I've got over 200M gold including tradeable rares. Merchanting is a major part of the game also.
