Looking for ZMI information for guide

Hi everyone,

 

 

 

I am planning to add a brand new section to my abyss guide. This section will include a complete guide on using the new ZMI altar.

 

 

 

What I need from you right now is information to add to this section. I would appreciate if you had any of this information:

 

 

 

  • [*:3l9grhxf]Do you get less higher level runes the lower your runecrafting, and vice versa for high?

i use torags helm, earth staff, sara book, lightness cape and boots, duel ring(just incase, another teleport option), glory(to repair huge pouch when in breaks) and abyss bracelet.(+1 weigh in total with all pouches)

 

 

 

Start the trip at moonclan, fill all pouches and inv with ess(10 law, astral+all pouches in inv) and set of by teleporting to ourania, pray at altar, put range proc and rapid heal on and run to altar. Crafting takes four goes.

 

 

 

Also, it is useless to ask the experiance in 15 minutes, as you already asked what runes you got.

 

 

 

It would take ALOT of time to work out what runes you make in certain amount of time, since you'd have to record every trip(unless you make pictures) and then add the ones you had before starting and the ones you used up with teleporting.

First to 99 Farming on 27. September, 2005.

First to 3766 Port Score on 20. March, 2014.

First to 4664 Port Score on 2. March, 2015.

i'm averaging between 680 and 720 exp per trip. I have lvl 70 rc, with 3 pouches and 41 total ess.

 

 

 

Edit: After some more crafting i managed to squeeze ~24.5k exp per hour.

 

 

 

Also at my level mostly i get laws, nature and deaths. Second group would be bloods and cosmics, then elemental and soul (usually 1-3 per trip)

1500+ total 89 cmb; 1600+ total and under 93 cmb.

02/04/07 reached all skills 60+ under lvl 90 cmb.

07/19/07 reached all skills 70+ at lvl 93 cmb.

Prayer is good for herbs

Yes, at level 99 runecrafting, the highest amount of runes I get seems always to be of a high level rune.

Don't think so.

 

 

 

What armor setup have you found to be the best and why?

 

At 85 defense, I use no armor - Instead I wear boots of lightness and an earth staff (along with possibly a cape and ring).

 

 

 

Have you developed any strategy to make the trips go faster?

 

Other than the standard strategy of teleporting to moonclan and back (1.5 minutes), No.

 

 

 

If you have ANY information at all that you think is useful about the ZMI altar please list it.

 

-Entire round trip takes ~45% energy (uncalibrated to the energy gained back while running).

 

 

 

-On your question #2 of this thread, people will need to post how much essence they used per trip and how many trips they made per 15 minutes for your data to be useful.

 

 

 

Personally, I'd be really interested in figuring out some kind of average to the amount of runes per runecraft level. I know its relatively random, but I'm sure there are some patterns to it. ;)

It'd be extremely useful if you were to include a 'low-defence way' as well. I have no idea if its possible though, I'm sort of out on this update at the moment. It would also be a nice addition to the guide, and attract some more users, and set your standard higher. 8-)

I'm using lunar teleports, wearing black d-hide and quest cape. Time is roughly the same as using the abyss. (Especially using all those super energy pots I made). Didn't cost me anything for the teleports as both spells use astral, law and earth runes, I carried an earth staff and the laws and astrals I was getting from crafting outweighed those I spent teleporting.

 

 

 

66 RC Level, getting a solid bunch of Natures, Deaths, with usually two or three bloods and souls. Average XP gained 657.7 per trip - give or take, if I see a zammy crafter I kill them, sometimes that nets an extra 3 pure ess.

 

 

 

Over my ten trips I used up 403 pure ess (including the two lots of 3 from zammy crafters) for 6577 XP, or 16.3XP per rune crafted which is more than a 50% improvement on XP for crafting deaths.

 

 

 

All in all, it looks like a good way to level runecrafting, rather than a good way to RC for profit. And considering that RC is my lowest skill, this is a good update for me.

In 15 minutes, i get approx. 135 runes of random amounts of all rune between airs and deaths, excluding combo runes.

 

 

 

In 15 minutes, I get around 2-5k exp, depending on lag, banking speed, ect.

 

 

 

I am level 42 rcing.

 

 

 

Just one last thing: Unless you've got very high defence and good armor, it's simpler to use the long path with boots of lightness, spottier cape, ect., rather than breaking for food every few trips.

There is no meaning or truth in life but that which we create for ourselves.

Setup wise (for 71+ mage with lunar magics):

 

 

 

all weight reducing items you can get.

 

 

 

Then armour that will give you fair melee and mage defence. So ranged or melee/mage mixture plus an earth, mud or lava staff.

 

 

 

Keep all your laws and astrals in inventory.

 

 

 

Put on range prayer.

 

 

 

Walk down short path and hit run as soon as ur in range of the first meleer.

 

 

 

Run right through and turn run off.

 

 

 

Craft runes

 

 

 

Group tele to moonclan (gives 1 more xp and with staff costs no extra runes)

 

 

 

Bank

 

 

 

Tele with the new teleport and walk back to dungeon entrance.

 

 

 

Pray at the alter.

 

 

 

Continue.

 

 

 

 

 

With this method you use 20 pray per run and recharge it, plus you use about 20% run energy whihc refils while you walk.

 

 

 

Takes around 1 minute per run and you take very little damage, only need to eat say 1 monk/lob/shark every 10+ runs depending on defence lvl.
