Well the main thing missing is the lack of tone, an if it's pencil as I pressume it needs more cross shading

I dont do much shading in sketches really.

as sigs your drawings are good but as a drawing them self... well its not my cup of tea (dont really like teas.. unless its frechly dround ans such mmmmm) well keep practicing every day, youll get better

The face looks... deformed... but other then that it looks ok

i had a hard time with the left side of the face in trying to make it non-circle... and yeah... deformation.

you could try adding depth to the picture by shading it in photoshop or something. the guy (from NGE) on my sig i drew, scanned and coloured in photoshop. works pretty well, i think. i also did 1 other pic for RS sigs in the same way, posted it a while ago..

anime style pics, i believe, can look really good BUT pencil drawings never scan as good as they look on paper so i think you do need to smarten them up with some editing once they have been scanned.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

uh, and if u want to learn to draw anime the best way (imho) is not to read guides or those 'how to draw manga' books but just to try copying frames from ur favourite cartoons! i love foolycooly.. got a ton of myown copies of flcl pics on my pc ^^

Well thats actually what i used to do and i found it added to my chars somewhat... now i realise when you do one part mangaish its essential to do the rest the same style. The reason i didnt color it in photoshop was because there were tons of holes and very sketchy lines that i couldnt fill in.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Anyway's im going to retreat back to my old style. For now...

I liked the work you did with the sword. looks very nice. The body joints are all awkward though. also, i know you probably dont wanto hear this, but if you learn how to draw seriously, anime drawing will come naturally.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

um...overall, i give a 7/10.

..Well, I don't imagine Runescape characters as that crazy-go-nuts anime look, (especially since they have their eyes closed at all times) but it was sorta good... Not like I can do better.
