Guy
I think we should have more mods for the +6 to +10 gmt timezones. For instance, there is a very VERY bad post on the general forum at the moment which has not been locked/hidden, but desperatly needs hiding. It is hurting the community slightly, but it could get much worse. In my opinion, it needs fixing. ~Guy RIP TET "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." - Friedrich Nietzsche
InkofDeath
Might want to read: http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=693027 http://forum.tip.it/viewtopic.php?t=683103 Anyways, one post being posted when no mods are on is rare, but it does happen. Even if there were 1k mods on each forum, there would be times where no mod is on, and a topic like that one is posted. No need for a massive increase in mods, there are mods for this time of day I think, it will be locked within 30 minutes, or deleted. This also isn't too bad considering the traffic slows down during this time of day also. When 10 topics like the one you linked, are posted, and they do not get locked within 30 minutes, then something needs to be done. :-#

Abelmisi
Well instances like this have taken place quite often nowadays. I'm sure though that when the new mods will be announced and set to work, this will be taken care of and will happen less often. :)
____
I'd like to share your optimism, Abelmisi, but personal experience says that no mods/admins being online is not the problem.

Ginger_Warrior
I'd like to share your optimism, Abelmisi, but personal experience says that no mods/admins being online is not the problem. What is, then? People doing it in the first place. :) IMO, there's usually enough mods online to deal with problems in a timely fashion, especially considering it is a voluntary role. No need for a paniced increase in mods just because one time zone happens to have less mods serving it than the others. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
mrmyk
Personally, I don't really know how the report feature works but I have seen mods online and even browsing the same forum I reported a post in and still having the post left for hours unnoticed :-s . Not sure what more we can do, or at least what I can say to help as I don't know how it works  . Rcty
In the current moderator applications the staff is sifting through, a required field on the application was the time zone. I'll relay this topic to them for a reminder. I'm not saying that they don't already take that into consideration, I'm just giving this to them to make sure. Keep in mind, also, that moderators do not have a working schedule, the amount of time and the times they go on and offline each day vary tremendously. In some cases, time zones only create a tentative border between times a moderator will be on, and that border can be very flexible. ~Rcty Rcty

If you report a thread in the Debate Club and there a Rate This moderator online, they won't be able to deal with the problematic thread in the Debate Club, since they don't have permissions there. - 99 fletching | 99 thieving | 99 construction | 99 herblore | 99 smithing | 99 woodcutting - - 99 runecrafting - 99 prayer - 125 combat - 95 farming - - Blog - DeviantART - Book Reviews & Blog
