I find there's too many shark fins. Take some out, and maybe turn some so they're goin the other way.

depth is a definate need on those... the water is just like... sprawling up like a tidal wave or something but you already said that.... i like the guy though...

It's pretty cartoony which is good

you did an awesome job on the face. The BG is kinda weak and the cloud doesn't look good. But your char's linework and shading is excellent. keep it up.

I suggest you actually do what everyone else does and actually shade pixel by pixel. It looks like you drew some lines, and magic-wand-ed the area, and filled it with a gradient.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For water, look at some reference. There are lots of extreme highlights and reflections.

messed up shark,cage, fins ever seen a fin that big from that distance..? in that shape..?must be a grey supersized killer whale.. wonder how they got so close to the shore anyway?
