I think when JagEx adds a new poll to vote, TIF should have a subforum in General Discussion board, so everyone can tell their votes here, without paying $5 to JaGEx.

There must be a law against that somewhere! We're effectively copying their material and stealing their profits!

 

 

 

Maybe a discussion thread could be permitted, but no way should we actually ditto their polls onto this forums. That's just disrespectful.

This is rather useless because a majority of the items voted on don't have any effect on F2P in the first place. If you're P2P you can vote in the polls that concern you. When they run a poll concerning F2p content, they run it as such, allowing everyone to vote.

 

 

 

Rather useless in my eyes. Mentioning the 'so you don't have to pay $5' just makes it sound like you want to vote just to be voting on something, not because you want to have a say in the content.

JAGeX wouldn't encourage this.. Website content is meant to encourage people to become members.

I've seen no one post a poll from the RuneScape polls, so if a topic was made, it would be plainly to post, and to vote.

I wouldn't mind a weekly, original poll and discussion posted on the General board. I don't think mimicking what Jagex does is a good idea though.

I haven't seen any polls, but I know there have been topics discussing the polls. The most notable one is the "Runescape Test" from about 2 weeks ago. I think that we should have discussion topics, since there are discussions topics on the updates already.

Updates and polls are different. Putting in an idea because something else works well, and is discussed, doesn't mean the other idea will work.

 

 

 

I'd imagine there's 4-6 topics about the polls(not the topics that indirectly discuss the polls, or weren't the main point in the topic), and this is just an estimation. The polls have been out for almost a year(3 months off). The polls are weekly, so 4-6, or lets say 10 topics with soon-to-be 45 polls, that shows that no one is interested.

 

 

 

If you do use the line or some line that crosses this 'if you make it, they will post' then you might as well do the same thing with sports, and any other sub-forum users want.

 

 

 

That's a very rough, but close enough to get the point across on where I'm coming from. At the most there's 10-15 topics, minimum would be 3.

This could mean that TIF would be taking Jagex's profits! A discussion board about what you put could be made.
