pryomancer
I read an article in The Daily Mail today, that said that Paramount is not producing any movies in HD-DVD now, only Blu-Ray. So many people are saying that Blu-ray has officially won now.

runescapeloser22
Why don't they just make something that plays both? Win-Win!
indy500fan
Why don't they just make something that plays both? Win-Win! They do, but it is expensive. They have to pay for the licensing for both formats.
Mercifull
Why don't they just make something that plays both? Win-Win!None of the studios wanted to use the format and it was abandoned. Echofish
Not really relevant but I found this website that compares a normal DVD with an HD one usng Lord of the Rings. http://www.cornbread.org/FOTRCompare/index.html Personally, I really don't know the differences. I'm happy with both. Ultra Unholy,Hearted Machine...
yaff2
id say HD DVD because blue ray is going no where, and if im not mistaken costs more, and can only be played on certain players. Blue ray tech. isnt going to go as far as people think. but HD will. haha i dunno 1980 Berlinetta with a 350, bored, mild cam, intake carb, headers, exhaust

This is pretty much the end of the game as far as HD-DVD in the movie business. They are already doing damage control by stating that HD-DVD has a place in data backup so they are trying to stay relevant.
