I was just taking out killerwatts for my slayer assignment and i noticed a pile of someones stuff on the floor. I ran over to grab some but i only managed to grab 1 thing, a set of adamant legs.

 

 

 

The guy made his way back to get his stuff, so i gave him the legs. He said he had had 2 mil on him and had lost full adamant. I explained i didnt get any other stuff, he didnt believe me. I told him i only had 44 coins on me. He then proceeded to try and get me to buy 15 sharks off him lol. Obviously he didnt believe me.

 

 

 

When we'd finished talking i went to kill another kw and my browser crashed. I logged back in as quickly as i could, but i was back in fally and i'd lost my ring of wealth. I still had my g maul, rune platebody and ammy of glory. So i quickly tele'd to draynor and ran back up to the top of the manor. But alas, the guy had made off with all my stuff. He would have known that i wasn't lying about his stuff because he woulda picked up my 44 coins with my ring of wealth.

 

 

 

Well my rant is this ..... i'm keeping everything i find from now on!!!

Greed consumes us all. At least you were honest until the very end; you were telling the truth, and nothing's wrong with that.

 

 

 

You shouldn't keep things that people lose if they are, within reason, reachable and rational about the situation. You did the right thing; don't do something stupid and blow it all away.

 

 

 

The game needs more good players. :?

Yeah, this isn't the real world, anything goes, well most things anyway. If I found anything worth some value, I wouldn't give them back : . I do hate people who accuse you of something, and 10 seconds later they do the same thing to you. Or they say something is not good/mean/wrong, etc. Next thing you know they do it to you.

Very nice of you to give the addy legs back, but in the end it wouldn't have made much difference. You still would have died, and dropped the legs.

 

 

 

Also, if someone died in front of you and dropped a ring of wealth, I'm sure you'd pick it up.

 

 

 

Note for the future: if you wanted to really prove you only had 44 coins, all you would have had to do would be to trade him and show him everything in your inventory - the little thing in the middle that shows empty spaces would prove it.

 

 

 

Not saying I'm not sympathetic though.

Don't let just one unfortunately accident change your whole philosophy about giving back items. It makes people really happy and grateful when someone is nice enough to give back their items.

On topic, there are jerks like this on Rune Scape. Screw them, if they have nothing better to do than to harass you for your (gasp) pixelated money then they don' t deserve to waste your time.

I use the please and thankyou method when a death pile appears at my feet. If they return, and ask nicely for stuff back, or enquire if I managed to pick up some stuff ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Ãâ I give it back. If they come back demanding that I must give stuff back, then I simply ignore them and wait for manners. If no manners are forthcoming, then neither are their goods. I certainly donÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t say ÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬ÅWhere are your mannersÃÆââââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

My normal policy is if they ask if anyone took there stuff, i'll give it back (unless its really valuble in which case im keeping). If they just stand there and say nothing, than its mine.

Runescape is filled with hypocrites. Can't do anything about that, much like the autoer problem. My motto is, finders keepers. Now I collect stuff I find on the floor, not like a looter, but if I find a corpse, hey free money. I've found an expensive ranger gear on the floor in the obsidion city, I got the ranger boots, and robin hood. The guy didn't beg for me back or anything, partially cause I tele'd to falador to sell it.

 

 

 

The moral of this story is - don't trust other people. They get to your soft spot and just destroy you.

I feel sorry for you, this has happened to me alot. Just think in the bright side. he will probably die alot more then you. :mrgreen:

I had twice faced this sort of situation, however I'm the receiving side of the loot in the end. Think of it as finders keepers and not complicate it lmao. Cause I've gotten 4m+ because of people's deaths andt there's no karma in that =)
