BlueThug
Mining was alot better on rsc ( i know there was autoers around there) but it was, u could power mine which was alot faster, rs2 is more fair tho everyone has a equal chance of gettin ore with the rite pic ax, but i do know wot u mean it does always seem like higher lvl miners are always gettin the ores higher mining...of course you get the ore
willyhenriksen
Wow... you know how much I hate it when low level miners come and get a rock you have been on for a long time? I hate that sooooo much. But I just got level 60 mining not to long ago. So it's not as much of a problem. The only problem NOW, is that there isn't enough mithril ore, anywhere :P And there's too many goblins at the hobgoblin mine. Makes life hard. And THEN there's Pkers too... who I don't like to run into when I'm mining :P go to lumbrigde swamps and mine mithril. R.I.P. Crim_nimora
I prefer coal trucks 150 in one load is fine to good for me and like it was stated before ITS HARD the people that are high lvls had to fight to get those lvls and wouldnt be to happy if suddennly all these people right off tutorial island get the same lvl they spent hourse to get in a fraction of the time...angering it would be... Mayjest
It's not that bad. It's a hassle, but it's not that bad. There are far worse things in this game than competition over a few ores. Goals to get my skills back up to a barely respectable level on the high scores: Currently going for Bone to Peaches spell. It's amazing how boring doing the same repetitive task is! Painy
Mining is just like any other skill you need patients to raise it put enough time into it and you will get good. That is what I think half of the peoples problems are, they don̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ã¢ââ¬Å¾Ã¢t want to spend days to get mining up high guess what in rsc it took me MONTHS to get 70 mining. I then stopped playing and now this thread has inspired me to mine again 8).
Domovoi
I agree that competition gets fierce at times and is really unfair for those low lvls but just keep on trying and you'll get high lvl mining eventually. magekillr
i always hated mining for some reason i made like 5 chars 70+ mining...2 of which got hacked so thats part of it...but its just sooo boring... just live with it...we all had to work the same as u did...plus i lvled from 30-74 on my first char purely from coal...back when there was 2 servers and every1 made livings from coal... Hayashi
Here is my advice: Power mine the three iron rocks in the Al Kharid mine. If someone else is there mining faster than you, switch worlds. If there are never any free worlds, rise early in the morning and beat the rush. I did this to level 85. I am currently level 86. It took weeks and weeks to power mine iron from 76 to 85. However, it is the fastest method, so don't get frustrated. Until the mining system is fixed so that level 50's can't outmine a level 86, you'll simply have to deal with it. I do like the idea that rocks should be like trees. Very clever.
Lord_Muijs
problem with mining is, even though jagex is adding more worlds, the amount of people per world is rising, while the amount of rocks per world remains the same. more peeps per rock= crowded mines this continues to make mining harder for the lower lvls to get up, we r all saying that we had the same problem, but now with more peeps per rock, its getting harder and harder and harder for lower lvl people
constanti
I've trained a character with a mithril pickaxe up to 41 mining very, very easily, and powermining after 41 is even easier, so mining isn't hard, neither at low nor at high levels
knives669
If I want to mine, I go to an empty server... And I NEVER mine at peak hours. Plus, I mine in places with abundant monsters, making it impossible for pures to mine there.
jaklumen
I'm guessing it's just getting harder and harder to mine f2p now with the way RS is advertised now... but when I was on f2p last I powermined iron in Rimmington up to level 60, and then went into the guild. I went p2p mostly so I could start fletching, but I have indeed noticed that mining is so much easier.
starsteller
Try leveling mining when you didn't even saw the ore, and all you had what guessing, and long long waiting, and then, if you got lucky, and if there wasn't some other miner, you would have an ore. Mining is already made ten times easier then in old RSC, so I don't see your point really... Somehow, I'm actually leveling up minning on rune essance. Finished one complete level so far on just rune essance. But that won't help most people. :) Thank the world for spell checkers.
