Bac_Talan
I posted this on RSOF and got flamed to death and beyond. Let's see if you can do better. I recently trained my ranged level to 55, so I could use Red Chinchompas. I promptly bought 2k red chinchompas for 1.6m. I saw the "release" option, and wanted to see what it would do. I assumed that, like for all other items of this class, there would be a confirm screen. You release the chinchompas and they bound away. GAHHH!!! Solution: Make chinchompas (Regular and red) have a confirm screen (Are you sure you want to release these? You cannot get them back). Very simple and easy to implement. Essentially, I'm back to a few hours of merchanting because Jagex couldn't spend a few minutes putting in a confirm screen. In those few hours, I could train my ranged level to 70 or more (Maybe..), but no..it's all wasted because of Jagex's failure of oversight. >>>>>>>>> Why should chinchompas have no confirmation screen, but fighter torsos and many, many other good items (Every item with a "destroy" option) does? >>>>>>>>> I know I could have banked them, but even cats have warning messages. Even on free worlds. I know "Curiosity killed the cat", but let's try and save the lives of a few cats, shall we? Just add the warning. I am NOT asking for my items back. I want to prevent other players from losing their items. Bobbington
Yep I agree, I was lucky enough to read a rant about this before I tried it my self, but especially with the value of them they really need a warning.
Bac_Talan
Yeah, I know.. Check the link in my sig to see why I'm never again posting a rant, even a legitimate one, on RSOF. That's the kind of comment I like to hear.. Instead, on RSOF, I got this: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kinda sad. I really missed TIF. I once shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.Pics or it didn't happen. I hate my generation.
anim7
Oh man....that stinks so bad....I am really sorry to hear that. This is entirely Jagex's fault. What if you had lag and accidentaly pressed the release button? There should be a confirm screen. 100% F2P85 Mining achieved on Dec 4, 200785 Smithing achieved on May 28, 2009
Bac_Talan
Same with misclicking "Examine". No abusive comments or flame yet. TIF is so nice.. Warrager
TIF is very nice. I support(even though I'm f2p). Your first semi negative comment. Wrong forum :
The Real ET
Well wrong forum as this is more of a suggestion, eh? I say it's your fault. Jagex put the release button on all hunting animals for quick release. Sure for chinchompas you don't have to because they stack/everyone wants them, but I don't think it was Jagex's intention to make those little red critters to be the best range training ever. Roberthree
I hate the "your fault" attitude about everything in RS. I'm still waiting for: "A guy killed my mom and mugged me!!". "It's your fault for being to weak to fend off the mugger." BTW- I support. If I drop my whip on accident, I can pick it back up. It really sucks that it doesn't work that way for everything. Bac_Talan
And I'm ranting about the lack of a confirm screen. Not making a simple suggestion that they add one. Several mods on RSOF didn't move it, and I intended this to be a rant...so.....I don't think it's the wrong forum. And thanks for the support. Yes, I pressed the button, but Jagex didn't put in a confirm screen, even though they did for hundreds of other items. I once shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.Pics or it didn't happen. Bac_Talan
Maybe RSOF wasn't that bad after all. I don't have anything labeled "suggestion"..or "Suggest list"... Bac_Talan
Like I already stated, every other item with a "destroy" option has a confirm screen. One person who posted on my thread on RSOF accidentally clicked "Destroy" on their fighter torso and would have lost it if not for the confirmation screen. If someone really wants to destroy it, it doesn't make it any harder, so why not put it in to prevent accidents? I once shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.Pics or it didn't happen. Roberthree
so why not put it in to prevent accidents? Because the average 'scaper is a sadistic bastard who likes it when people loose stuff.
WolfhunterXZ
I support this, even though it's a rant/suggestion, so it is a prediciment on where to put it. I've never used Chinchompas as range training (yet) but it is kind of weird they didn't put a confirm screen. So I support it.
