Just like rings, and tree seeds? Nothing that is contained within the nests are actually used for herby, so I highly doubt if that will be the case, not to mention the rarity of them. As stated previously, one woodcutter with 90+ wcing has only had 1 egg to date. He is meant to make one potion out of it? What a wasteful update that would be, worse than the Karils set effect!

 

 

 

Unless of course the potion PERMANANTLY gave exp in a specific/chosen skill, that would be nice. Make you own genie lamps! Would have to remain untradeable if that was the case though.

Farming and herblore are related skills. Yew and magic roots are used in herblore. So you can actually get seconds from the seeds from the nests. A relation between the eggs and herblore is not totally far out IMO.

All items in the game that have been useless at some time have become useful later on.

 

 

 

Heres a few items that were of no use, like the eggs you are discussing.

 

 

 

red stones: rubies

 

blue stones: sapphires

 

green stones: emeralds

 

planks

 

tiles

 

spot potion (i think its used in p2p now)

 

 

 

so the egg will definitely be put to use in the future, but i dont see why its so fun trying to guess for what :-k

Prehaps they will be used in a futer quest were some god of brids asks you to collect one of each egg or something. :o

I have over 90 saved in my bank now... honest. I really hope Jagex haven't completely forgotten about them.

 

 

 

I suspect they may use them as some kind of future pet, but who knows. I'd love dragons (kinda birds I suppose).

Because we all have about a thousand inventory spaces, right?

If it is a pet bird and Jagex announce it you can expect a flock of people moving to oaks or willows for the eggs. But I have a green egg (I am big fan of Guthix so I am happy with that.

Its probably one of those useless but there items Jagex made.

 

Probably it'll be used in a follow-up quest to Ernest the Chicken where the professor makes another mistake but turns a whole town into giant chickens and you hafta save them. :?

12 green, 7 red, and 8 blue. I hate posts like these, makes me remember what a waste of bank space they are, lol. Jagex really should make a use for them.

So what?

 

 

 

Gems were VERY VERY hard to find, and rare , and useless.

 

The people who bothered to carry them around before item banks had no use of it.

 

But now crafting is a very well set up skill, and you can get hundreds of gems an hour at the right place.

 

 

 

Oh, and people, stop whining that you want to be able to use the eggs so much.. no one forced you to keep them.

you know Captain Izzy No Beard, he has a bird on his shoulder! colored parrots?!! that would be wicked lol! and if your in diologue with an npc, it could echo the last word in each sentence. XD

I only have one green egg, and I've had it for at least a year and a half now, but I'm still holding onto it because if it's the only one I've gotten for this whole time, it must be rare, and therefore Jagex I think will give it a use soon... I know my reasoning sounds sketchy, meh, but I believe in it. :
