ATTN: Anyone with Verizon Wireless

Featured Replies

Last week, it was revealed that Verizon Wireless is mailing a notice advising wireless subscribers that if they fail to opt out within 30 days, Verizon will begin "sharing" their Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) to ̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬Ãâ¦Ã¢â¬Åthird parties and affiliates̢̢̮ââ¬Å¡Ã¬ÃâÃ

Q5. How am I affected if I decide not to provide my consent?

A. The inability to share your CPNI may make it more difficult for Verizon Wireless to work with our affiliates to offer you new communications-related products and services in the future. However, your decision to disallow the sharing of CPNI will not affect the services that you currently obtain from the Verizon companies.

Fail.

It's disgusting that they have gone as far as to do things like this but its not right.

The person could be on holiday and not receive the letter aka not agree to the letter so could end up with allot of companies ending up with their details.

It's disgusting what big business is being allowed to get away with. Sounds like a massive invasion of privacy to me...

Wow...tell me, why are companies like this allowed to do these things? It's a complete and total invasion of privacy..

And the worst part? I knew NOTHING about this until I read this. If I was on Verizon, I'd be pretty ticked if some company like Google ended up with all of my info somehow.

Oh my. Thanks for the info. I'll make sure to tell people I know who are on Verizon.

As for me, I'm an Alltel person.

Yah... There was an email about this going around about 5 months ago, but with cell phones in general. And guess what? It was a lie. So I might want to do some other background research on this first.
