I hate rap, I find it completely stupid. Its like 98% of rappers create words to make them rhyme with others.. They've trapped so many people in a giant box of stupidity.

I don't hate rap, but I think its on its last legs. Rappers are just simply running out of ideas. I used to actually enjoy it a bit; nowadays I can't stand it.

Censoring the word will only upset everyone. Don't forget, the n-word can also be a term of love, further confusing and tangling the situation (I'm sure Nas will be addressing that too).

 

 

 

Instead, taking the power away from the world would be soemthing much more effective.

You know what, I'm going to take back on something I've said. I don't think it should be censored. I thought about it, and you guys are right. Censoring it would be pointless. I still don't think it should be used, though, especially on a public album cover.

Think of it like this: He's trying to make the word meaningless by using it everywhere, even situations it may not apply. It's like the word, "noob". It is seen so much, nobody cares anymore.

I agree with Rushrock about the the n-word. I just wonder about Nas titling his album, "[n-word]". I actually chuckle at that because there are several other great titles that Nas could use :P I have a question for those who defend Nas and other gangsta rappers who like that word. Yeah, I noticed that. Like you, I don't think the n-word should be censored. Many great books/movies use the n-word to show history (like the Civil War and the Great Depression for instance). The problem with the way Nas and many gansta rappers using it is its pointless and just not inspiring, to tell you the truth.
