Well, I was just selling bandos boots for a proffit and whilst I was selling about 3-5 players traded me just to see what they look like...If you want to know what an item looks like CHECK THE KBASE. It should have pretty much all items in Runescape. Quit trading me and start buying!

 

 

 

What annoys me even more is that you get your hopes high thinking that you have finally got a buyer.

and you know what really gets me? when they call YOU a noob for not showing it to them.

Yeah sometimes I just wait for them to show their offer. (in this case, should be 1.8m) And if they don't I'll just decline.

No, the Knowledge Base doesn't have pictures of every item in the game in it. Especially if it's still relatively new (i.e. 3rd Age, Godsword, etc).

 

 

 

My advice to you is to show patience when dealing with new/expensive items. There's be some looky-loos at first, but just wait for the crowds to die down and you'll have a real buyer after a while.

Just accept the fact that not everyone may have heard of, or seen a certain item.

It's annoying for sure. But realistically speaking, its just like browsing a store. You walk in, but not always buy something, you could say the same applies for this scenario; they trade you to see the item, but not buy it. :|

I suppose it wouldn't have hurt the "browsers" to politely ask something along the lines of "Could I just see that please?". I'm guessing this is probably the source of contention.

 

 

 

Then if you wanted to show the item to the curious browser your interesting item you could.

 

 

 

If you choose not to show the browser your items, they'd presumably have to find someone else to show them or see the item by purchasing it.

 

 

 

Mind you its bank sale 'browsers' that have made me go self sufficient for my GP so in a way I guess it could be seen as a good motivator?

I agree... Those people are commonly known as "lookers." Although, judging a buyer by his or her level doesn't always mean anything, because I had a level 49 trade me and actually pay me about 1m more than the current market price for my BGS when I was selling it to downgrade back to Zammy. He then proceeded to merchant it :P

yep i agree wxactly... i was selling 6k bloods for 2.4m, and of all people it was a lvl 53 that bought em. he paid me cash too

Of course. A skiller with a 99 in herblore and a 1400 total with a 3 combat level must be such a noob... Combat level is not equal to maturity, and it's not needed to know about the game.

Just say: "show cash" and if they dont within a few seconds decline.
