ember3579
The forefather of almost every single RPG in existence. I'm looking for online info about it, including but not limited to online books, Map generators, old campaigns, interesting equipment ideas, places, just about anything. I'll give 10,000 gp to whoever can find an online book of "Weapons of Legacy". I'm needing it to check up on an idea of mine, as well as further ends. Other than that, let the games begin! :ohnoes: :uhh:  You never know which rabbit hole you jump into will lead to Wonderland. - Ember3579Aku Soku Zan. - ShinsengumiYou wanna mess with me or my friends? Craiglowery
I remember wanting to play D&D and looking at how pricey everything is and how much stuff you have to buy just to get the game started. Is it worth the price?

The 10k gp idea is real-world trading, which is illegal... Second, a free online version of "Weapons of Legacy" is also illegal (as far as I know), though it is easy enough to find if you really want it and don't mind downloading illegal stuff. -.-

Zonorhc
The entire core ruleset is available for free under the OGL. You can find it here. I also run a couple of games and play in a few more at Myth Weavers, which is a play-by-post community for those without long hours or empty basements to spare. The link is in my signature. Nadril
Heh I've played D&D a few times, not that much though. I faintly remember last time I played (like 4 years ago) it was getting late and I was bored, so I attacked some old lady. Apparently the GM didn't like PKers and the old lady turned out to be some powerful summoner who kicked my [wagon]. oops.
pryomancer
I used to play it when I was younger- the pen and paper version, proper stuff. I think I had a lvl 6 mage before we stopped.
darkblade986
I played it earlier in the year, and I'll resume playing it once my dungeon master can find time for us to do so. I was running two characters (Mage and Cleric) and I believe I was level 7 Mage and level 6 cleric when I finished. The Warrior on our team was 10 years old (his father is the dungeon master) and I know there was one time where we walked up on a sleeping red dragon (this being when we were each about level 3) and he wanted to go attack it... At this point, we're at some castle way up on top of a hill. Last I can remember us doing was launching two simultaneous Level 6 Fireballs at a passing group of 100 goblins (battle trained) and nuking all but 6 of them in the process, which were quickly taken care of by the theif/archer on our team. I believe the next thing we tried was taking a flying carpet we had, stuck an Elven Cloak of Invisibility over the flier, took my Fireball Wand (lv6) and tried to blast the top of the castle where the watchtower was. Conveniently enough, there was some kind of forcefield, meaning the end result was the goblins on top waking up, shooting at us, and that character taking about 12 damage... As for finding the book: the best way you'd even consider finding it would be to use google, but if you can't find it there, then you probably aren't going to find such a version. Dungeons and Dragons has such popularity that I'm sure the creators of it keep careful watch over their copyrighted material. don't worry, you are going to "hell" anyway. wanna race to see who gets there first?Officially reached 100 Combat at 1:33PM EST, June 14, 2007First Dragon Drop: Dragon Chain (Dust Devils) @ 10:48PM EST, July 14, 2008, lv113 combat
Necromagus
My student club has monthly D&D sessions. The rules are a bit more loosely defined to keep it more open-ended, and we generally have a lot of fun. I think during the last session the DM changed my alignment to Chaotic Irritating after I tried to talk two manor guards into trying to help me loot the manor they were supposed to be guarding (at that point two other party members had accidentally set the manor on fire and I suggested it'd be a good idea to see if they could pad their retirement fund a little, since they wouldn't be payed to guard a burnt-down ruin. Zonorhc
I remember once, our tabletop DM had us ambushed in the middle of the night while camping on forested island. The attackers had huge modifiers to Hide and nobody in the party had any ranks in Spot or darkvision. My wizard, always thinking of practical solutions, decided to lob a few spare fireballs around, and defoliated the island in short order while the druid cast some protection spells. It turns out that I destroyed an island's ecosystem just to kill a couple of mooks. Go figure. ember3579
Lobbing around fireballs in random spots is NEVER a good idea. A 20 ft radius, PLUS it setting appropriate things on fire? Yeah, you're lucky the DM didn't feel like putting you into a forest fire. And it's not archer, it's ranger. I am using that class as my first. You can play it 2 major ways. First is a dual-wielding multi-hitting bladestorm, the other is using the other target as a pincushion for arrows. Right now, I'm using a +4 str composite longbow. I'm 1 strength point away from a +4 modifier, which I'm planning on getting when I'm 4th level. If you'll believe it, I'm working on a weapon of mine. Most likely going to be a Legacy weapon, which is why I need the rules and guidelines on it. If it works, I'll post it here for you \  You never know which rabbit hole you jump into will lead to Wonderland. - Ember3579Aku Soku Zan. - ShinsengumiYou wanna mess with me or my friends?
