Nice guide, but I'm curious, who do the flesh crawlers compare to the Giant Spiders (Lv50) in the Third Level of the SOS?

True but in that spot it is difficult to make them aggressive again as you have to pass through a door and answer a question every time. The areas I use do not require that thus I do not use the southeast room.

why is this locked?

Moonshadow's a liar. With those stats you could get way more than 28k xp in an hour here. By way of comparison, I get 20k xp an hour at cockroach workers, a monster with relatively high defence that's spread out, with much lower stats.

The berserker (0) is there because it gives a strength bonus, and if you have good defense, it might be worth taking one :

Oh and I saw a lot of pures go down here. Since you said earlier that 5 defence people will have to click on food a lot, 1 defence people will have to click even more, then? Why do they train there?

 

And it is NOT worth getting the rune berserker (because it degrades), unless you're strength crazy.

No idea, when I was training there I was always alone for the most part. As far as berserker shield, I never used one but nevertheless it is the shield with the best stats.

No, as I am sure I have previously stated, spiders will inflict much more damage than flesh crawlers thus requiring many more food runs. These add up over time and will affect exp rates.

Using the shield will raise your max hit on most levels, and the degraded version will on certain levels, as they both give a strength bonus(less for the degraded version). It should give you more xp/hr, espically if used with strength potions.

 

 

 

Flesh crawlers only hit 1s, so at higher defense levels it might be worth using a degraded berserker just for the strength bonus.

I just wondered about an idea. If you are at the spot with zombies, why not just run from the first spot to the other if they get unaggresive?

Indeed. I often did that.

Got 24k str xp this way in 1 hour. I have 61 attack, 64 str and 54 def using rune scimmy and str ammy and full rune!

Update: 11/18/2011

It has been four years since I updated this guide. Today I figured I would go ahead and add a range section since I am currently back in the business of slaughtering flesh crawlers.

 

Any suggestions are welcome. As always, I hope that many people find this information useful.
