teenageloser33
It's my first attempt and I think it went well for a first try at that. With a little guidance from Nadril on my texture.
jabraulter
Great job for first. Yea, wait for Nad, he'll give better advice than I will, but i suggest next time, and i understand this is only your first, but give it a littl ebit more depth. the textrue right now looks 'flat' and a bit blurry. but excellent for your first. did you make the texture or get it off of a site? jabraulter
i see, well it looks great. i think Nad will give you some pretty good advice. but 8/10....and thats off of the 'i've been doing this for a long time' scale. not the 'first time' scale. excellent. Nadril
It looks very nice for a first jake. I love the earth like feel of it, and the colors look good as well. like jab said, it could use some depth. In alyn's article about planet he talks bout putting a slight emboss on a planet and well... read about it, it helps a ton for depth. but yeah, it looks nice :) Good job, i might help you out some more on msn later. Nadril
dun dun duuun! Nadril to the rescue. well, he knows best though, so listen to him not me. no, actualy your advice was the same advice i would've given in a nutshell. Basicly, its blury, needs a bit of depth. You don't need to be amazing at something to be able to give out proper C&C after all :)
teenageloser33
Thanks Jab and thanks Nad for your help. Now is it the advanced planet creation tutorial you're talking about? Under planet lighting? If so I'll try it after I get home from work today.

axeraider70
Its looks very nice. Im gonna get a bit technical... Since their are about 4 bright "suns" there, the planet should have no ice cap since it will be warmed from all sides, but i see one in the shadows, a fairly big one too... perhaps change it to land? (if they are clouds then, my bad...) Well the point it that it looks great and you did it well, what program btw? axeraider70.deviantART.com

Mercifull
Oh ok then, well still nice job, a hella better than i can do >_< Youd be suprised by your own skill. If youve got photoshop have a pop at it. Here my first space scene I ever made. http://www.evilmerc.com/uploads/space2.j%70g Mercifull <3 Suzi "We don't want players to be able to buy their way to success in RuneScape. Keiphus
Space scenes are a dime a dozen, you have to make yours very dynamic if you want to be recognized. Skills and techniques can be learned in time, but you must never forget composition. What is the first thing that a child does when he draws a picture for his mother? He puts the sun (a semi-semicircle) in the top corner. If you want someone to notice your work and if you want to improve, I suggest trying more original composition, don't always take the kindergarden approach. Good work though, just change it up a bit and you'll be fine.
