Right now I'm getting 2741 iron ore for 70 mining, and upon my return to members, and Ive come across a dilemma...

A. I can either get maximum experience by making all of the iron into

 

iron knives, and an ok profit (Final Level, 63 (3 gained) and 479,675gp gained)

 

 

 

B. I can sell the iron as bars for maximum profit (548,200gp gained)

 

 

 

C. Make all iron knives and use all for range exp at King Lathas' Camp, to get 70+ ranged and do Roving Elves. (66 range at the moment) (Intense ranged exp)

 

 

 

D. Make 10k iron knives, and sell the rest as bars. (148,200gp earned, and lots of ranged exp)

Please just tell me which letter choice would be best, and why (if you're feeling very helpful :P ).

 

Also, money earned is if I sell knives at 35gp each, and bars at 200gp each.

I like choices A and C, but its up to you, if u want money, A is better, if u want exp, then C works. Personally, id rather get exp :thumbsup:

The profit is only slightly less that the max (choice B) plus you get a nice bit of smithing XP.

Hmm... I wonder how many iron knives I would need to get 70 ranged, from just 66? :-k

EDIT: It is 1,005 ogres to 70 ranged...if it takes me 50 knives per ogre (as an estimate), then it is 50,250 knives :shock:

Just checked RSOF, and all I can see is sale for iron knives.

You can probably buy some easily with the GE.

 

 

 

I say make the knives, sell em, then buy bronze. Best exp for sure.

You can buy bronze knives for 14 gp ea in the Rogues den infinite stock as well, barely makes a difference, so... get bronze.

Buy them as needed. It's an infinite stock, so there's no point in buying huge clumps at once. I'd say buy 5K at a time. I personally buy 25K at a time, but then again I have money to blow on range.

I'd probably buy 5k at first as well, 70k is something I can easily blow.

And Concerning SERG Troy's question, Again, the knives are very much more fast - damage is almost consatant. :D

I'll take it from you. :

Knives and Darts are the same speed. Knives hit marginally higher (prob like .25 damage points or something) and are more accurate.
